Ho'omana Lomi Apprenticeship Program offers a part-time 570-hour professional apprenticeship integrating Hawaiian healing bodywork and cultural education. Our program allows students to focus and perpetuate the sacred healing art form known as Lomi Lomi while preparing to be a Licensed Massage Therapist. Our program is a continuance of the values of Aloha Spirit, Ohana, Kukua, Malama and Pono; which are deeply imbedded in the Hawaiian model of wellness. Following lineage teachings, our lomi apprenticeship is inspiring and practical. This journey fosters powerful personal growth experiences allows one to acquire an incredible set of skills that may be shared with ohana or cultivated into meaningful career path as a health care professional.
Our instructors' knowledge is passed down through a long lineage of master practitioner's. The various lomi courses provide a learning environment with extensive and effective lomi techniques, Hawaiian philosophy of ho'oponopono, meditation and chant. Ho'omana is dedicated to the development of each student's mind, body and spirit while ensuring a supportive and quality learning experience that can create a solid foundation in one's life.
Apprentices who complete all program requirements will sit for their state boards to obtain a license to practice massage therapy in the state of Hawaii.
The most requested treatments in massage therapy establishments statewide are lomi lomi massage, deep tissue massage, and hot stone therapy. Upon completion of the program therapists will be highly marketable in any setting including spas, chiropractic offices, or private practice. They will have gained extensive knowledge and mastery of these massage techniques. Apprentices will obtain all the skills needed to launch a successful career in Massage Therapy.
