Consecration of St .Mary's Church, Hobs Moat, Solihull

St. Mary's Church, Hobs Moat in Solihull was consecrated by Lawrence, Bishop of Birmingham on 24th June 1967. This film was taken at the service for the laying of the first stone in July 1966, and the actual consecration service in June 1967.

SPBS Ltd's Summer 2015 to Spring 2016 Project on Hobs Moat Road, Solihull, B92 consisting of a 3 bedroom detached property being extended to the highest of standards into a large family sized 5 bedroom house boasting 2 Juliet balconies, a large master bedroom to the loft with a separate dressing room & en-suite.
To the first floor there will be 4 spacious bedrooms and a family sized bathroom and finally to the ground floor there will be a formal living room to the front, a large study & cloakroom and an open plan kitchen, dining room & lounge looking out onto a patio area by the stream which runs to the side of the house.

Haunted Iron Age Hill Forts : Hobs ' Devils ' Moat

An ancient historical site with paranormal activity - known to be the site of a Medieval Manor House, belonging to the noble Odingsell family. Hobs Moat or Devils Moat was originally an Iron Age hillfort - and is haunted by the Ghosts of Celtic warriors.

The last sighting of these Celtic warriors was back in Victorian times, standing like sentinels in the mists of early dawn. Early dawn is the optimum time to try and see them - these Ghosts are benign hauntings. It is not known if these Ghosts have any connection with the Odingsell family abandoning the site.
