The tower 'Hochheideturm' on Ettelsberg mountain has the highest viewpoint in North-West Germany since 2002. The tower is the 59 m high, 875 m above sea level.
Willingen is a community in Waldeck-Frankenberg in northern Hesse, Germany.
Willingen's landmark is the railway bridge, Das Viadukt, build about 1918.
The community thrives mainly on tourism; attractions include winter sports and bowling clubs.
Among Willingen's greatest events are the International Ski Federation's yearly World Cup Ski-jumping competition at the Mühlenkopfschanze (a ski-jump arena with seats for 100,000) and the yearly Mountainbike-Event at the Ettelsberg (mountain).

Another skiing holiday for the season. This time we went to the ski resort Willingen, Germany from 22-25 February 2019. The ski resort Willingen – Ettelsberg is located in the Sauerland (Germany, Central Uplands of Germany - Deutsche Mittelgebirge)). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 16 km of slopes available. 9 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 578 and 838 m.

Willingen Ettelsberg Hochheideturm Siggis Hütte
Wie jedes Jahr waren wir auch dieses Jahr in Willingen in und an Siggis Hütte. Mit der tollen neuen Seilbahn sind wir sicher und gut oben an Siggis Hütte angekommen. Das erste Mal hatten wir dort oben eine klare Sicht und somit fuhren wir mit dem Aufzug zur Aussichtsplattform des Hochheideturms hoch. Die Aussichtsplattform des Hochheideturms ist verglast und auch geheizt. Es bot sich uns eine grandiose Aussicht auf das Land der tausend Berge (meine Heimat). Ich habe natürlich viele Fotos gemacht, um diese dann zu einer DIA-Show weiter zu verarbeiten.

Es ist sehr schön auf dem Berg.
Willingen liegt in den Bundesland Hessen.
Hochheideturm Mittelgebirge in Deutschland #5 Rothaargebirge
In meiner Reihe der Deutschen Mittelgebirge war ich dieses mal im Rothaargebirge. Von Willingen aus ging es auf den Hochheideturm. Vom Turm hat man eine super Aussicht. Für Leute die nicht mehr so gut zu Fuß sind fährt auch eine Seilbahn den Berg hinauf, und auf den Aussichtsturm kommt man auch per Turbolift. Mir hat es im Rothaargebirge sehr gut gefallen!

Das Video zeigt die Ettelsbergbahn, die im Sommer 2007 gebaut wurde. Sie ersetzt einen alten 2-CLF mit gleichem Namen.
Die Anlage wurde von Doppelmayr gebaut und steht in Willingen (Deutschland).

Mt. Ettelsberg (838m) is the central hub of the german ski resort Willingen. The skiing slope along the Ettelsberg cable car is the longest in the Sauerland region. The vertical drop is 250m, the length of the slope is approx. 1.5 km. This video was recorded on Feb.14th, 2013. There was plenty of artificial snow on the slope, weather conditions were sunny, but windy, temperature was about -6 degrees.
