Das Hofbräuhaus am Platzl ist ein Bierpalast in der Münchner Altstadt am Platzl. Es war lange Zeit der Sitz der dazugehörigen Brauerei Hofbräu. Für Unterhaltung gibt es Live Musik. Viele Andenken können im Hofbräuhaus Laden erworben werden. Eine gute Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken lässt nicht zu Wünschen offen.
Hofbräuhaus on the Platzl is a beer palace in Munich's Old Town on the square. For a long time it was the seat of the brewery Hofbräu. For entertainment there is live music. Many souvenirs can be purchased at the Gift-Shop. A good selection of food and drinks is not to be desired.

Munich, Bavaria’s capital, is home to centuries-old buildings and numerous museums. The city is known for its annual Oktoberfest celebration and its beer halls, including the famed Hofbräuhaus, founded in 1589. In the Altstadt (Old Town), central Marienplatz square contains landmarks such as Neo-Gothic Neues Rathaus (town hall), with a popular glockenspiel show that chimes and reenacts stories from the 16th century.
Germany is a Western European country with a landscape of forests, rivers, mountain ranges and North Sea beaches. It has over 2 millennia of history. Berlin, its capital, is home to art and nightlife scenes, the Brandenburg Gate and many sites relating to WWII. Munich is known for its Oktoberfest and beer halls, including the 16th-century Hofbräuhaus. Frankfurt, with its skyscrapers, houses the European Central Bank.

The famous Bavarian beer hall and restaurant is known as the Hofbräuhaus am Platz and is owned by the Bavarian government. It inspired the German drinking song oans, zeta, g'suffa or one, two, down the hatch in English.
A fun place and a must see when in Munich.

Germans (Especially Bavarians) love their meat and potatoes. Located in the heart of Munich Germany, Hofbräuhaus offers exactly that, and so much more! Hofbräuhaus is a brewery in the city of Munich, that is owned by the state government of Bavaria. Once a royal brewery for the Kingdom of Bavaria, Hofbräuhaus offers many types of beers as well as traditional Bavarian eats in a jolly, music-filled atmosphere.
This has been our second visit to Hofbräuhaus in Munich (the first being in 2011) and we loved it as much as we did the first time we were here! This place is definitely a must-visit during your trip to Munich for authentic eats, crisp beers and an amazing fun-filled environment for all to enjoy!

Munich is a beautiful city and in this video I’m taking you on a German food tour and we also visited some of the famous attractions and sights in Munich.
Cafe Frischhut - This is a legendary cafe in Munich, known for serving schmalznudel, a savory type of German donu. I thought it was alright, but not must-eat. Total price for 3 people - 16 EUR
Viktualienmarkt Munich - This is one of the best German street food markets in Munich, with plenty of street food stalls to choose from. I tried a classic Bavarian white sausage and pretzel (Weisswurst 5.90 EUR) and leberkässemmel, which is a classic meat loaf sandwich (2.99 EUR). Viktualienmarkt Munich is one of the best places to visit as a food lover in Munich, Germany.
St. Peter's Church - We then took a walk in St. Peter’s Church, one of the most recognized churches in Munich.
Marienplatz - This is the main center of Munich, and the architecture is stunning.
Hofbräuhaus - If you ask where to eat in Munich, this will no doubt be the number one suggestion, it’s an institution in Munich. It really is an amazing culinary piece of history, a giant beer and food hall where you can eat and drink and fully embrace German food and culture. Total price for 3 people - 64.50 EUR
English Garden (Englischer Garten) - I didn’t know what to expect visiting Munich’s English Garden, but it turned out to be one of the most beautiful parks I’ve ever seen. We stopped to watch the Eisbach Wave, a place in the canal where there’s rushing water and people take turns surfing the waves.
Chinesischer Turm Beer Garden - Finally to end the day we headed over to Chinesischer Turm, probably the most well known of all beer gardens in Munich. It’s a great place to hand out, eat and drink. Total price for 3 people - 45 EUR

Germany: Thousands pack Hofbrau tent as Oktoberfest kicks off in Munich

Around 10,000 people from all sides of Germany and the world, packed the Hofbrau festival tent in Munich on Saturday, making it the largest of the tents of Oktoberfest, which kicked off at noon.
Nikki, an attendee from California, said she didn't know what to expect ahead of the festival.
I wasn't expecting any of the carnival aspects, I didn't know what to expect. I think that Munich is really cool.
Matze, an attendee from Hamburg, said, Because we visit the Oktoberfest every two years, because it is always a blast and it's a lot of fun to party with all the countries, cultures.''
Oktoberfest is marked annually from mid-September to mid-October and is attended by millions of people from around the world. In total there are 17 large tents on-site, where between five to seven million visitors consume around 60,000 hectolitres (1,319,815 gallons) of beer every year.

This is a walk through the world famous Hofbrau Haus in Munich, Germany just before Oktoberfest 2010.
This German beer hall is very famous and a must see biergarten for any tourist or visitor to Munich or Bavaria.
You gotta visit and order a giant beer, a one liter Helles (lager) and eat a giant pretzel and sing some drinking songs. Surprisingly, John Denver's Country Roads is their favorite song! Who knew!?

Hofbräuhaus in München (Royal Brewery in Munich, also Hofbräu München) is a brewery in Munich, Germany, owned by the Bavarian state government.The Hofbräuhaus am Platzl, Munich's famous hofbrauhaus, was founded in 1589 by the Duke of Bavaria, Wilhelm V. It is one of Munich's oldest beer halls. It was originally founded as the brewery to the old Royal Residence, which at that time was situated just around the corner from where the beer hall stands today.The beer quickly became quite popular thanks to the first brewer, Heimeran Pongratz, and the famous Bavarian Beer Purity Law of 1516 that stated that only natural ingredients could be used in the brewing process.
Hofbräuhaus franchises have opened in several places around the United States of America. Newport, Kentucky (Greater Cincinnati, Ohio) in April, 2003, Las Vegas, Nevada in January, 2004 which also created the paddle shot game which can be asked for and received by one of the waitresses,Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in March, 2009, Chicago, Illinois in January, 2013, Cleveland, Ohio in October, 2014 and Columbus, Ohio in November, 2014.As of September 2015 there is also a franchise in St. Petersburg, Florida. There is also a chain of Hofbräu Beer Gardens in Miami, Florida, Panama City Beach, Florida, New York, New York, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin which provide the traditional food and but do not brew their own Hofbräuhaus beer, only serve it. The first Hofbräuhaus in Latin America was recently opened in Belo Horizonte, Brazil in November 2015.
