We went to a Magical Town, HOI AN, VIETNAM (2019)│ My Travel Journal
Visiting Vietnam was an incredible experience, we went to so many places and so many UNESCO heritages.
Then we came to Danang, and everybody mentioned HOI AN, I don't know how We missed it from our research but here We are on our way to Hoi An.
We arrived and we were impressed, is such a Magical Town, so beautiful, not just the town but the food, Oh my gosh.
We found that most of the vegetables fron this town come from a little village like 5 to 10 minutes away, a community of 50 families and off course we Went there.
From Hoi An take a taxi to the TRA QUE Vegetable Village, you will not regret, is free of charge but they have a lot of activities that you can do like: farming, tours inside the village, cooking classes, etc etc and they go from $23 to $28 dollars, not bad because that includes food and more things.
HOI AN is a town that you have to visit if you come to Vietnam and stay for more than a day if it is possible, in the night this town transform in a Lantern town, so nice.
The food is espectacular, you have to try CAO LAU, nooldes than can be made just here because they are made with water from a WELL that is very special and different. They say that the water that comes from underground is from a little Island close by that has ashes of the local trees OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. Off course we went there.
We will eat, we will get lost in the town, we will go to temples and more.

DA NANG TO HOI AN ON THE LOCAL BUS ????????
DANANG TO HOI AN ON THE LOCAL BUS | TRAVEL VLOG
Travel Vlog Day 62 -
After spending New Years in Da Nang, Paul and I take the local #1 yellow bus to Hoi An, the Ancient City!
To encourage tourists to visit Da Nang, the local governement launched a direct bus from Da Nang to Hoi An, for only 25.000 VND (roughly $1). This is by far the cheapest way to travel to Hoi An, and in our opinion, most fun! I think its healthy to take public transportation from time to time when visiting a foreign country and travel like the locals do. While this bus was made to encourage tourists to travel to and from this beautiful city, we were the only ones the whole trip. The bus we were on were full of locals, and we meet some very nice people who worked for the bus who wanted to practice their English.
Here is some basic information about the Da Nang to Hoi an #1 Local Bus:
Distance: Da Nang to Hoi An 40km
Cost: 25.000 VND (roughly $1)
Journey Time: 70-80 Minutes
Bus Services: Start at 5:30 am and stop operating around 6:00 pm, with a frequency of 1 bus every 20 minutes (you can use google maps to help with find the nearest bus stops and bus times)
Other: You can purchase your tickets when you get on the bus - and while the employees don't always speak English, they are a bright yellow and very hard to miss!

Da Nang and Hoi An Travel Guide in Vietnam!!!
Thành Phố Hội An
Wondering what to do in Da Nang and Hoi An , Vietnam? How to get around and enjoy the best viewpoints, sites, hotspots, and secrets there? You have found the right video!!!
After our visit to Da Nang; a clean, modern, and laid-back city, bordered by a long white sand beach called My Khe. The beach front is lined with top-notch resorts, restaurants, and quirky shops; the city night filled with lights and beaming with life, and even just outside the city, amazing nature and serene views we have selected some of our favorite places for you to explore. So without further ado:
1. Marble mountains. Just south of Da Nang and accessed by two cylindrical glass elevators lies a natural masterpiece. Marble and limestone rock formations bulge out of the ground and reach for the skies. Atop this natural marvel is a pilgrimage site for Buddhists, with temples, pagodas, and sacred caves. Having 3 distinct peaks, serve as amazing viewpoints of the mountains to the south and the city of Da Nang to the North as well as breathtaking views of My Khe Beach to the East.
2. Dragon Bridge One of the most unique bridges in Da Nang and the whole of Vietnam. It is constructed in the shape of a dragon and a shining display of lights during the night makes your visit worthwhile.
3. Son Tra Mountain. Largely covered with thick forest, Son Tra Peninsula is full of Beaches and spectacular views. Sightseeing, nature walks, wildlife sightings, eating and drinking in Vietnamese style are on the top of the list.
4. Lady Buddha and Linh Ung Pagoda. Being the tallest Buddha statue in Vietnam at an astounding 194 feet, Lady Buddha is located near Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula in Da Nang, a short 5 miles away from My Khe beach, or 9 miles from Da Nang city center.
5. Beaches. The best beaches in Da Nang are known for their clean waters and sands. The more popular ones, such as My Khe and Non Nuoc are relatively close to the city centre. Less than 10 minutes away by car, they’re often packed with locals during weekends and public holidays. You can also find plenty of local restaurants serving fresh seafood and Da Nang specialities at affordable prices. Lounges and beach chairs are available for rent for about VND 40,000 per day ($1.74 USD).
Hoi An has quickly become one of the most loved tourist sight in the country. This place doesn't have any airport or any railway network and the only way to reach it is by taxi, motorbike, or the public (Yellow) bus. However, this is one of the most beautiful as well as the most pleasant locations you will ever find. Here’s our top 6 things to do in Hoi An:
1. Walk around Hoi An Old town
2. Explore the central market in the heart of the city and go SHOPPING!!!
3. Visit the Japanese Covered Bridge
4. Try the mysterious street food
5. Visit the many historical temples
6. Walk around at night and enjoy colorful lantern
Catch a ride on one of the many river gondolas
Discover the amazing artwork including photography, painting and handmade crafts in the artist district
What not to do:
Park your bike or car in Hoi An center after 3:00 PM

Must Know Vietnam Travel Tips to Danang & Hoi An | Vietnam Series Ep. 1
Vietnam Da Nang and Hoi An Travel Guide and Travel Tips that you must know before you go. This Vietnam Travel Guide is part of my Vietnam series and we start episode 1 with things you need to know before you go to Danang as well as things you need to know before you go to Hoi An Vietnam. Da Nang Beach and the Danang Beach resorts are popular destinations and I will help you navigate through the city and give you my favorite tips and tricks. My Da Nang travel tips are based on what I wish I knew before coming to Da Nang Vietnam as well as Hoi An Vietnam. There are many things to do in Da Nang but I wanted to focus on the differences of each area, what each specific area offers and general things you must know when coming to danang for the first time. In fact, Da nang is the fifth largest city in Vietnam and located central part of the country. IT is locate don the cost of the South China Sea and is one of the most important ports in Vietnam.
There are more seafood restaurants options by the Da Nang beach area, like the ones where you get to pick out the live seafood from tanks or buckets and then staff will weigh it out in front of you. I personally enjoy this process andI think it’s more reasonably priced. So if you’re like me, this beachside may be your best choice
This Da Nang Vietnam Guide is the first episode of my Vietnam series. I will be covering Da Nang Vietnamese Street Food, Luxury Hotel and Beach Resorts, Vietnamese Airlines and much more.

From Da Nang to Hoi An by Car - Vietnam 4K Travel Channel
The fastest and most comfortable connection from Da Nang to Hoi An is by taxi. The ride for the about 30 km costs approx. € 20.
Da Nang is the third largest city in Vietnam and gained importance through its natural harbor. In former times, Da Nang belonged to the ancient kingdom of Champa. On the orders of Napoleon III, French troops landed here.
In the Vietnam war 1965, the first U.S. fighting forces went ashore at the China Beach. Later Da Nang was the northernmost airbase of the Americans and therefore of enormous strategic importance. During the war, the China Beach also served as a recreational beach for the fighters.
From 1967 - 1972, the German hospital ship Helgoland anchored in Da Nang, providing humanitarian aid to civilian victims on behalf of the German Red Cross and Maltese emergency service.
After a wonderful journey across the Ocean Clouds Pass by train, we are now at the main station in Da Nang and take a taxi to Hoi An.
The driver purposefully drives through the street canyons to the Nguyen Van Linh, which leads directly to the Dragon Bridge (Cau Rong), that crosses the Song Han Bay.
The Song Han is a tributary of the Bay of Danang and leads straight from the docks through the city. The Song Han runs south to the Song Thu Bon, which in turn leads through Hoi An to the sea.
From the Dragon Bridge, the road continues directly to China Beach. The fantastic sandy beach stretches as far as Hoi An. We drive past elegant beach sections, where we would have liked to jump into the water.

Da Nang to Hoi An by Bus or Bike, Travel Vietnam 2018
We decided to head down to Hoi An for a few days but first we had a dilemma. We had heard the trip from Danang to Hoi An using the the public bus was quite an adventure, but then we also knew we would need Bob down there with us to get around, if we wanted to head out of the Old Town Hoi An...What to do?
It was easy really, I'd catch the bus and Tash would ride Bob down, but would we both make it? Who would get there first? What was our experiences of the trip like?
We'd love it if you liked and shared this video, so others who haven't yet heard of us, also get a chance to share in the experience. Thanks :)

We are Leon and Tash, a New Zealand vlogging couple who set off on an amazing Vietnam adventure as fulltime travellers, backpacking Vietnam. But we weren't going to travel to Vietnam for one of those ordinary backpacking Vietnam trips you hear about everybody doing, where they go for a couple off weeks and check out the beaches or maybe riding through Vietnam at such a crazy pace that they never get off the beaten track. No we want more than that.
Our Vietnam adventures start with learning the way of the locals, taking just enough time to figure out how things work, discover what the Must see places in Vietnam are and more importantly where Vietnam's hidden gems are...
To do this, we moved to Danang Vietnam. The plan was to spend 3 months living in Da Nang, meeting and learning from locals about the culture, the amazing food, their way of living and what places they would recommend to travel in Vietnam.
And because Danang is in the middle of the country, we hoped we might meet other tourists or expats who were having their own Vietnam travel adventure or were at the halfway point of motorcycle riding through Vietnam and hear from them, what places they thought we must visit in Vietnam. Also, as new travel vloggers, having a base there meant we could try things like doing Da Nang Vietnam travel vlog or creating a Danang Vietnam travel guide, before also taking on the stresses of fulltime travel.
Then in month 4, that's when the real Vietnam adventure begins. With our new list of must see places, we will head to Saigon and buy a couple of motorbikes. to start our Vietnam road trip!
Motorcycle riding through Vietnam seems like one of the most hectic, crazy and chaotic things anyone could do, but we can't wait!! And we wont be following a simple South to North / Saigon to Hanoi route, we plan on doing more like a figure 8, so that our travel in Vietnam will cover both the inland and coastal areas of this amazing country.
So can we still say we are backpacking Vietnam? Or should we be telling people our travel in Vietnam is a motorcycle trip through Vietnam? We're not sure, but what we do know is, our Vietnam road trip is going to cover over 6000km's from Saigon right up to the famous waterfalls of Ban Gioc near Cao Bang, round the northern point of the Ha Giang loop and everything else we can access in between. So we hope you'll join us, the New Zealand vlogging couple, on our Vietnam adventure by clicking subscribe to join the Tribe and experience our travel in Vietnam..

Hoi An Town is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site. Hoi An has no airport, and no train station either. The only way to get there is by road. You can hire a taxi from the neighbouring city of Da Nang, which does have an airport with daily flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and other large Vietnamese cities. There’s also a train station in Da Nang, and bus services are plentiful. We have a wide selection of hotels for you to choose from in both Cua Dai Beach and Hoi An City, whatever suits your pocket and style.
