Hoi An, Vietnam | Cham Island snorkelling tour, An Bang beach | Vietnam Travel
After visiting the city of Da Nang we hopped on our motor bikes and road to the ancient town of Hoi An, Vietnam.
We arrived in the evening and we were greeted by our Airbnb host in town who then guided us to our super cute rental home.
There is so much to see, and do and eat in Hoi An. We spent our days riding around on motor bikes checking out local areas such as the old quarter of Hoi An along the river. This area is packed full of restaurants and shops of every kind. It's a must-see near the Japanese bridge. Hundreds of lanterns fill every corner. There is so much incredible food choices. We spend a bit of time each day at the beautiful beach called An Bang beach. We explored the rice fields on bikes at Tra Que vegetable village between the town and An Bang beach where all the local vegetables come from. We went on a Basket Boat tour in the Coconut Forest. And spent the day at sea on a Cham Islands Snorkelling Day Tour.
We highly recommend visit this wonderful place.
Next up we visit Ho Chi Minh City , (commonly known as Saigon). Stay tuned!

Hoi An was an incredible experience and it was fun capturing the raw experience visiting Hoi An! We're always looking forward to learning more things about Hoi An! Although there were highlights and lowlights, eating Central Vietnamese Mi Quang noodles, doing a day trip to My Son Ruins, and going on a lantern boat on the Thu Bon River were the best experiences in Hoi An! Let us know if you've ever been to Hoi An when you were in Vietnam and if you agree with these points about visiting Hoi An!

Shopping with the locals. It's great to get amongst it, shopping with the locals, wandering through the aisles. There are all sorts of goods for sale in this vicinity. The fruits and vegetables are of good quality but it's a bit hard to strike a great bargain unless you are Vietnamese or can speak the language. I'm sure the locals have prices for locals and prices for visitors but there's not a lot the average tourist can do, but it's a fun thing to experience the thrill of the chase for a good price! Tailors, shoe shops and much more can also be found around here.

Bike Ride Through Hoi An Countryside (Thu Bon River, Rice Fields, + Cemetery)
My guide Oanh took me on a bike tour through the Hoi An, Vietnam countryside. We rode by the Thu Bon River, passed through rice fields, and stopped at a cemetery. One thing's for sure-it's not easy riding a bicycle while you're holding a video camera in one hand.

VIETNAM CYCLE TOUR: Da Nang to Hoi An - time to take it easy
Today I did the short ride on my cycle tour of Vietnam as a high carb vegan from Da Nang to Hoi An. My leg's still aren't 100 percent from yesterday's mountain pass over the mountain but the vegan diet is working and no muscle soreness.
I do a quick video in a small roadside restaurant where I had rice and veggies.

Experiencing Local Life in Hoi An Vietnam
Second stop during our stay in Vietnam was to a charming lil city, Hoi An. Hoi An was a place we both really enjoyed and we stayed longer than most visitors to there to properly soak it all in.
During our time in Hoi An, we stayed at An Bang Stilt House. A traditional style building that's in a great location. It's a 5 min bicycle ride away from the beach and only a short drive away from Hoi An Old Town too. Plenty of Grab taxis to get us there. We had the most friendly and welcoming host ever (Kim) who made us feel right at home during our entire stay. We recommend ordering her home-cooked meals, they were so good!
An Bang Stilt House
Address: Group 4, Tan Thanh, Cam An ward, Hoi An, Quang Nam, Vietnam 563800
We also enjoyed a unique and special tour of Hoi An away from the tourist attractions and out into the more remote countryside of Hoi An.
Our tour of Hoi An, Vietnam was with XO Tours. This is a really cool tour company where all the tours are done on scooters and with friendly, knowledgeable, female riders (the company wanted to give females more job opportunities so created XO Tours) but the best thing is you get to immerse yourself in the local life of Hoi An and Vietnam.
We got to learn about the daily work lives of locals, try our hands at their craft and ended the tour with a invitation into a Vietnamese family home for an amazing home cooked meal. Definitely a great experience and one to try for yourselves if you're visiting Hoi An and looking for things to do.
We're here in Vietnam for a month, so expect plenty more food and travel videos to come. Stay tuned! ????

In this video we explored the ancient town of Hoi An in Vietnam. We went for a nice bike ride to the beach and later on walked around the main part of town and had a nice boat ride. Hoi An was easily the busiest place we visited during our time in Vietnam but we still had a good time and it is definitely very unique it its appearance.

My Son Sanctuary Bike Tour - Hoi An, Vietnam
HALF-DAY BIKE TOUR IN HOI AN
Cycle the scenic countryside from Hoi An to the UNESCO World Heritage site of My Son on this half-day biking adventure.
My Son Sanctuary is a cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples constructed between the 4th and the 14th century AD by the Cham people. As of 1999, My Son has been recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site.
The Champa Kingdom, Indianized maritime kingdom based in what is now the Central Coast of Vietnam, was eventually conquered by the Vietnamese and Khmer. Descendants of the original tribes are now scattered throughout the region, mostly along inland waterways.
Leave the ancient town of Hoi An behind, we tour off the beaten path where you'll get a chance to see the hidden highlights and enjoy genuine local interaction. Go behind the scenes and experience a side of the country few visitors encounter.

Cycling to Hội An from Da Nang, Vietnam Travel VLOG 07
Welcome to part 7 of my Vietnam Travel VLOG! In today's episode, we traveled by bus from Hue to Da Nang, which is where we will be staying for the next few days. After checking into our hotel and checking the weather, we decided to rent some bicycles and cycle to the nearby town and tourist attraction, Hội An.
Hội An is about 30 km away from Da Nang, and it was one of the top places on our list of must-go locations. Rather than taking a taxi or bus, which is a popular option, we decided to go by bicycle, since it was a straight shot all along the same road along the ocean.
Here's a link to our cycling route for the day.
After arriving, we checked out what Hội An had to offer, and we were not disappointed. The main roads are blocked off from vehicles, so it's much quieter and cleaner, and the architecture and overall atmosphere is absolutely stunning. Both during day time and even more so during night time.
Unfortunately, I experienced a bit of food poisoning from something that I ate earlier in the day, and wasn't able to film much towards the end of the night. I was barely able to pedal my bike the 30km back to Da Nang, and had to grab onto Thuong's shirt and have her pull me for parts of the way. Not the best night, BUT thankfully I was fully recovered by the next morning :)

From start to end this tour is fantastic!
You get real bikes, not just basket wheels.
You will start by cycling through Hoi An to take a ferry to an island. You will see how local rice wine is made, and even got to taste a bit. Then get to try your hand at making local bed mats and finally you made rice noodles and eat an amazing local noodle dish for lunch!
The ride itself was at a good level for everyone and the views of the countryside are just spectacular!
The cycling tour through Hoi An is amazing, great way to get out and see real life in Hoi An. Our cycling leader is great and speak perfect English, always had a smile on his face and made sure everyone was safe and happy.
