Hokkaido Jingu Shrine - Sapporo ᴴᴰ ● 北海道神宮 札幌 札幌雪祭り
► I recently went on my first ever trip to Sapporo on Hokkaido, Japans most northern island. Located approximately 1000 kilometers north of Tokyo, it is about 20 degrees celsius colder than Tokyo this time of year.
My first place to visit there was Hokkaido Jingu - a major Shinto shrine located in Maruyama Park, Sapporo. It is one of few shrines on Hokkaido, and by far the biggest.
It was founded in 1870, destroyed by a fire in 1974, to be rebuild in 1978, which is the version that stands today. Easy access from Sapporo Station by Nanboku and Tozai Lines. - Enjoy!
Hokkaido Jingu: Sapporo's Beautiful Shrine Experience
If you would like to visit shinto shrines in Hokkaido, Sapporo’s Hokkaido Shrine, known as Hokkaido Jingu, is of most importance for the city, as well as visitors coming from close and afar. Thousands of visitors travel each year to visit the shrine commemorating Emperor Meiji, with beautiful picturesque sceneries surrounding the religious grounds.
Located in the beautiful Maruyama Park area, almost in the city center, the shrine is not only home to the soul of Emperor Meiji, but also three other gods that are known to protect the island of Hokkaido and its people.

Hokkaidō Shrine (Hokkaidō Jingū) is a Shinto shrine located in Maruyama Park, Chūō-ku, Sapporo, Japan. Enshrined here are four kami including the soul of Emperor Meiji. The temple was founded in 1871.

Hello everyone!
Here is the last episode of my Hokkaido trip! Hope you guys are enjoying so far. :D
In this video, I have visited the Ginnokae Cafe, where I got free Hello Kitty coffee cup for souvenir! After that, we went to Kitaichi Glass, which is one of the most distinctive glass handicraft shops in Otaru. We also visited other places like the Otaru Canal and Shiroi Koibito Park before we end our day4.

Sapporo Beer Museum - Hokkaido, Japan
What it's like at the Sapporo Beer Museum in Hokkaido, Japan: trying samples of beer, retro Japanese adverts & posters & the genghis khan buffet restaurant.
The Sapporo Beer factory was the first brewery in Hokkaido. You can get there by bus or you can walk from central Sapporo (about half an hour). We walked through the snow (in February!) and did the free tour of the museum. There's also a premium factory tour, where you can see the manufacturing line and watch a film. The best part is the tasting hall where you get free samples on the premium tour, or you can buy a tasting set of Sapporo beers to try (original Kaitakushi beer, classic and Sapporo Black). There's also a buffet restaurant on-site, with all-you-can-eat genghis khan (a Hokkaido specialty) and all-you-can-drink nomihodai plans.
