JET Program: A Weekend Getaway on Sado Island
What are three things that you'd bring with you to an island?
For me, I guess it'd be my phone (to take videos, obviously), arms ready to play taiko drums and legs ready to dance, and an ochoko for delicious sake. And that's exactly how I spent my weekend getaway on Sado Island--a gem in Niigata.
Ft. Gold digging, playing humongous taiko drums, learning the demon drum dance, visiting the Hokusetsu sake brewery, and watching the annual Niigata charity musical.
After all, being trapped on an island may not be a bad experience???
