The observatory in Brorfelde was taken into service in 1953 by the University of Copenhagen, and used as a part of the university until 1996. While university personnel has since moved, the observatory is still in active use today by both students and enthusiasts.

Holbæk is a town in Denmark and the seat of Holbæk municipality with a population of 26,961 (1 January 2015). The city is located in the northeastern part of Region Sjælland, Denmark.
Holbæk is on Zealand, on the banks of Holbæk Fjord, an inlet of the larger Isefjord. Holbæk is a commercial and industrial center for the surrounding area. By rail, Holbæk is served by Danske Statsbaner's line from Roskilde to Kalundborg, which runs through the city. Vestsjællands Lokalbaner connects Holbæk by rail to Nykøbing Sjælland. The city serves as a major hub for the Movia bus routes. Holbæk has an active commercial seaport that serves as the harbour for the ferry to Orø (island). Near the harbour there is a substantial marina.

DSB, an abbreviation of Danske Statsbaner (Danish State Railways), is the largest Danish train operating company, and the largest in Scandinavia. While DSB is responsible for passenger train operation on most of the Danish railways, goods transport and railway maintenance are outside its scope. DSB runs a commuter rail system, called S-train, in the area around the Danish capital, Copenhagen, that connects the different areas and suburbs in the greater metropolitan area. DSB also operates some trains in Sweden.
DSB was founded in 1885 when the state-owned companies De jysk-fynske Statsbaner and De sjællandske Statsbaner merged.

The DSB class ME are a series of diesel-electric locomotives, introduced in 1981. A total of 37 units were built, all by the German factory Henschel for the Danish State Railways (DSB). They were among the very first AC drive locomotives in serial production.
The locomotives were designed to haul the more heavy regional services in Sjælland, Denmark, in the early 1980s, replacing much of the old rolling stock in use at the time.
The first unit, 1501 arrived in 1981 after many years of delay.[citation needed] Three years later, in 1983, DSB had received a total of 30 units.[citation needed] Although there had been some serious trouble with the locomotives, DSB found a solution on the problems, and an additional seven units were delivered.
All the ME locomotives remain in service in 2014, with the exception of one unit which was scrapped after a fire. However, it is expected that the ME locomotives and the last passenger coaches in service will be replaced by IC3 trainsets when the IC4 trainsets take over intercity services. The locos are technically very identical to the NSB Di4.

This is small townhouse in the Danish port town of Holbæk | Absolutely Small House Design Ideas
This small townhouse is located on an alley near the center of the Danish port town of Holbæk. It was built in 1894 and has been modernized since then. With only 49 m2 (527 ft2) over two levels to work with, the owners have used a number of tricks to get maximum utility from the small floor plan.
The front door opens into a narrow stair hall. The hall proceeds straight ahead to the kitchen, but it is such a tight squeeze past the stairs that it hardly qualifies as a hallway. Possibly the stairs were updated to meet current building standards at some point, with the original stairs being narrower than the current ones. With that being the case, the hallway seems to be used mostly as a storage space with the main circulation path to the kitchen cutting to the left through the living and dining rooms.
The living room and adjacent dining room are both a comfortable size. Windows at either end keep the space bright. Although the home now has in-floor radiant heating on the lower level, there is also a small woodstove. With limited wall space, the owners mounted their TV next to the woodstove. Heat will reduce the lifetime of electronics, so they also installed a vertical copper heat shield between the stove and the TV. The compact kitchen maximizes storage with drawers in the toe-kick space and a rod mounted across the window for hanging utensils. The back door off the kitchen leads to a stone-paved patio in the backyard. A shed along one side houses the laundry.
The upstairs consists of a main room with exposed beams and a three-piece bathroom with shower. The owners used a free-standing closet and storage cabinet to divide the space into a bedroom and a home office area. To get a bit more usable space, they replaced part of the guardrail with a dresser that overhangs the stairway opening.

Holbæk er en fjordby beliggende på Nordvestsjælland, ca. 60 kilometer fra København. Med sine 28.264 indbyggere (2018) er den Nordvestsjællands største by. Byen er hovedby i Holbæk Kommune og tilhører Region Sjælland. Holbæk er vokset op omkring det tidligere Holbæk Slot, der blev grundlagt i 1236 af Valdemar Sejr og byen fik købstadsrettigheder i 1287. Om navnet er der to teorier. Enten er det en omskrivning af Den hule bæk refererende til den bæk, der i middelalderen løb gennem byen, eller også er det Den hellige bæk. Faktisk findes udløbet af en lille bæk vest for havnen med navnet Hulbæk.
