The RAN gave the fin of decommissioned Oberon class submarine HMAS Otway to the Shire in 1982.
The RAN sold the skin of Otway to a scrap dealer. The committee bought the skin from the scrap yard.
It was cut into sections and taken by semi the 530km to Holbrook NSW where it is currently on public display.

The Holbrook Submarine!
I've been meaning to fly over this unusual attraction in Southern NSW for quite some time now but never quite got the chance. Well coming home the other day after a very long and tiring drive down to Melbourne and back I finally got a chance. Shaky Gimble on the Phantom 3 and all I hope I managed to come up with some nice results that you all enjoy. Leave a comment or a suggestion....and please...Subscribe!

Holbrook Airport Fly-in Day. HMAS Holbrook Submarine. Vlog A455/20.4.19
Welcome to my Easter weekend video edition. Here the highlight of this video is my first visit to the Holbrook Airport fly-in day Easter festivity. Lot's of small aeroplanes and a home-built Ultra light two engine (Chain-saw motor type). After the fly-in I checked out the HMAS Holbrook submarine before I headed home.

We recently started Wyunas main engines
Wyuna's diesel and electric engines had not started since 2004. It took about a week of work to prepare her motors and engines for her initial start! We are thankful to her past crew who assisted us. It is old technology and even they had issues remember how to start he. She is now ready to sale home to Melbourne. For more information go to our website maritimecentre.com.au
Cheers for now
