Genesis Selling England By The Pound Tour WITH (PARTIAL) SLIDESHOW RECONSTRUCTION 1973-1974
Using all available extant footage, this unique split-screen setup recreates the experience of attending one of Genesis's groundbreaking multimedia concerts during their famed SELLING ENGLAND BY THE POUND Tour. Plus - a partial reconstruction of some of the slides used on the tour, set along with the music; unlike The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway Tour, the Selling England slides have never been reconstructed in this detail before!
A few notes:
* Most of the audio is from June 4 1974 (New York City). More Fool Me is from April 24 (Boston); Epping Forest and the end of Supper's Ready (As Sure As Eggs Is Eggs) are from April 20 (Montreal).
* I cheated where there wasn't enough footage from this tour or where I wanted to show something that wasn't included in the available footage: there are bits and pieces from the 1972 Nursery Cryme tour, the 1973 Foxtrot tour, some (probably) faked footage purportedly from 1973, and as a last resort, some live footage from the esteemed tribute band The Musical Box. I worked to make it less than totally apparent- for example, if Peter Gabriel wasn't wearing the time-appropriate costume for this tour in the footage, it got cut. I supplemented the Selling England footage like this as sparingly as I felt I could get away with, to keep the visuals fairly authentic.
If this video does well I would like to do similar reconstructions for some other tours too... We'll see.

Hollywood Bowl VIP Lane Review - Dear Mummy Blog
Dear Mummy, we felt like stars at Hollywood Bowl recently and had the ultimate bowling experience when we visited their new VIP lanes last week.
My folks love the thrill and excitement of going bowling and when they first started dating (back in the day) they used to go every Friday night to the alleys.
Since I came along they haven't been as much, however the opportunity came up to review a VIP lane in Basingstoke and they jumped at the chance. Catch the full review at dearmummyblog.com

Lyrics:
You wet my eyes
But I don't mind it
I tell you lies
But it's only sometimes
You pick a fight
And I'll define it
I swear that I (Swear that I)
I only called her one time
Maybe it was two times?
I don't think it was three times
It can't be more than four times
I think we need to rewind
You text that boy sometimes
Must be more than three times
I didn't mean to two-time you
She said that I should have liked it
I told her I only use it sometimes
Except when I need reminding
I'm petrified
But I only called her one time
Maybe it was two times?
I don't think it was three times
I didn't mean to two-time, two-time you
You wet my eyes
But I don't mind it
I tell you lies
But it's only sometimes
You pick a fight
And I'll define it
I swear that
I only called her one time
Maybe it was two times?
I don't think it was three times
It can't be more than four times
I think we need to rewind
You text that boy sometimes
Must be more than three times
I didn't mean to two-time you, two-time you
To two-time, two-time you
I only called her one time
Maybe it was two times?
I don't think it was three times
It can't be more than four times
I think we need to rewind
You text that boy sometimes
Must be more than three times
I didn't mean to two-time, two-time you
(One time, oh, one time, three time, four time
Three time, four time, two time, three time)
Two-time, two-time you
(One time, oh, one time, three time, four time
Three time, four time, two time, three time)
