Holy Family Catholic Church is located across the street from Daan Forest Park. In the evening, the church is bathed in a pure white light that adds to its noble ambiance. Inside, the light through the stained glass windows further contributes to a mood of spiritual peace.

A look back at the life of Taiwan's first cardinal
Paul Shan was born in Puyang, China, and later became the first cardinal to serve in Taiwan. We take a look back at his remarkable life of service. This was one of the biggest moments of Shan's life. In February 1998 at the Vatican Shan was named a cardinal.In the Catholic Church hierarchy, cardinals rank just one level below the pope. In 2006, close to a decade after receiving this honor, Shan was preparing to retire.
