Around Christ the Savior Cathedral

Work on the construction of the Temple in the Temple was celebrated the coronation, national holidays and anniversaries: the 500th anniversary of the death of St. Sergius, the 100th anniversary of the War of 1812, the 300th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty, the opening of the monument to Alexander III, and NV Gogol. Голицыну и возглавляемой им Комиссии по построению Храма. Весной 1912 г в сквере возле Храма установили памятник Императору Александру III - произведение профессора архитектуры А.Н. Померанцева и скульптора А.М. Опекушина (памятник просуществовал всего шесть лет и был разрушен в 1918 г).
