Hastings, steps down from Castle
theo harpik,
Here is a short video clip showing the stairs leading down from West Hill to George Street. This is an alternative route to using the West Cliff Lift but it is a very steep path.
The access is in George Street but it is unmarked and I walked up and down this road a few times before II found it.

HTB's Rev Paul Cowley talks about his MBE
'God did a real number on me'
About four years ago, one of the few passersby who dropped into Butterfield's enormous neo-Gothic barn of a church is St Augustine's on a prime piece of real estate in Queen's Gate, South Kensington, would have witnessed an extraordinary sight.
Hour after hour, standing at the altar, they would have seen an ex-offender with startling blue eyes, a shock of wavy brown hair and a face that has clearly 'lived' a little, practising the complex rituals and liturgy of a 34-page High Mass that owes more to 20th-century Rome than his own Church of England, until he knew every step by heart.

I believe these buildings closed as unsafe in the early 2000's, and i believe current plans are to build 500 new social homes (like Dartford isn't over crowded enough) my last visit here was end of August 2018 all trees and Bush have been cleared, ready for demolition. And 24 hour on site security. So be advised.. Dont waste your time visiting here.

A quick note...
I am not a camra expert, i do not own any expensive recording equipment or have any editing software, it is what it is, no stupid music or sound effects.
I have been exploring abandoned properties in the south-east of England since around 1993 i know the risks and dangers probably more than most, it is only the last few years i have stated documenting my adventures and have built up quite a collection of video footage and thousands of pictures. Some of which may be very interesting.
If you don't like what you see then thats fine, i do not care, if you do then thanks

Monasteries Dissolved By Henry VIII - Part 4
Part 4 of a series of videos of monasteries that were dissolved by Henry VIII of England in the Dissolution of the Monasteries (Suppression of the Monasteries). From 1536 - 1541 Henry VIII disbanded monasteries in England, Wales, and Ireland. Some monastic foundations dated back to Anglo-Saxon England, the overwhelming majority of the 825 religious communities dissolved by Henry VIII owed their existence to the wave of monastic enthusiasm that had swept England and Wales in the 11th and 12th centuries. NOTE: This series does not include every monastery that was apart of the Dissolution of Monasteries. Only those for which pictures and information could be found.

Holy Holy Holy- Cathedral Organ
(lyrics)Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three Persons, blessèd Trinity.
Holy, holy, holy! All saints adore thee,
casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
cherubim and seraphim falling down before thee,
which wert, and art, and evermore shalt be.
Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide thee,
though the sinful human eye thy glory may not see,
only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
perfect in power, in love, and purity.
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy Name, in earth, and sky, and sea;
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three Persons, blessèd Trinity.
