Turquoise has different virtues. For example it is good for one's prayers to be accepted. It will also prevent protect you from the evil eye. Turquoise is a holy stone and that's why people and tourists are interested in buying and having it.

I have been working in this job for nearly 26 years. Turquoise has always been considered as a valuable gemstone and its price is growing. The best quality turquoise is more expensive than gold.

Firouzeh (turquoise) is a very beautiful stone which is also famous in Germany. Everybody knows there that it comes from Iran. I really like Iranian turquoise.

The semi precious stone, the turquoise, is sacred to Iranians.
Known as Firouzeh in Iran, the ancient stone is called the 'gemstone of the people' and has been considered a bringer of good fortune for thousands of years.
STORYLINE :
Turquoise is widely used in Iranian jewellery and decorative objects, as well as in architecture and Muslim places of worship.
Many Iranians wear turquoise rings and pendants because they believe the stone brings good fortune.
The Reza Bazaar in the the city of Mashad has many stalls selling turquoise jewellery.
Shahram Farahani is out shopping for a piece of jewellery.
He says he wants to buy a turquoise ring because he loves the colour and he especially likes the stones found in Mashad.
In addition to warding off the evil eye, many Iranians believe the stone attracts wealth to the wearer.
An old Iranian proverb says, the hand that wears a turquoise and seals with it will never see poverty.
Mahmoud Chaychi sells turquoise from a shop in the bazaar. He says he believes that the stone has many virtues.
The city of Mashad is famous for turquoise.
And its not just Iranians that love the stone.

Sa’di Shirazi
Abū-Muhammad Muslih al-Dīn, better known as Saadi Shirazi, (1210-1291 AD) was one of the great Persian poets of the medieval period. He is not only famous in Persian-speaking countries, but has also been quoted in western sources. He is recognized for the quality of his writings and for the depth of his social and moral thoughts. Saadi is widely recognized as one of the greatest masters of the classical literary tradition. His best known works are Bostan (The Orchard) completed in 1257 and Gulistan(The Rose Garden) in 1258. He is buried in north of Shiraz in a beautiful ‘garden tomb’, at a place of his choice.
One of his poems 'Bani Adam' (Human Being) is inscribed on United Nations building entrance in USA which reads as under:
Human beings are members of a whole,
In creation of one essence and soul.
If one member is afflicted with pain,
Other members uneasy will remain.
If you've no sympathy for human pain,
The name of human you cannot retain!

Award winning author Lee Boyland graduated from N.C. State University with a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering, and a commission as a 2nd Lt. In the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps After completing the U.S. Navy's Nuclear Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Schools he was assigned to the Defense Atomic Support Agency (DASA) in Albuquerque, NM as a member of its Nuclear Emergency Team responsible for nuclear weapons accidents including the rendering safe of armed nuclear warheads. He had access to the design details of every nuclear and thermonuclear warhead developed by the Unites States through the Mark 63 warhead. His duties took him to the Nevada Test Site on many occasions. After leaving the Army, he designed conventional and special ordnance and later demilitarized chemical weapons at Rocky Mountain Arsenal and Tooele Army Depot. After Viet Nam, he interest shifted to hazardous waste, and he made the transition by applying aerospace combustion technology to incineration of Agent Orange. He went on to found a successful full service medical waste service company. He has started and purchased businesses, and currently writes and consults in the management of medical and special wastes in the U.S. and Asia. Mr. Boyland is an active member of the Florida Writers Association, the Space Coast Writers' Guild and the Blueprints Book Club. His award winning trilogy is based upon the Clash-of-Civilizations that occurred after a successful nuclear terrorist attack on the U.S. THE RINGS OF ALLAH won the Military Writers Society of America's 2007 Silver medal for fiction, and the second book of the trilogy, BEHOLD, AN ASHEN HORSE, won MWSA's 2008 Gold medal for fiction. AMERICA REBORN, the third book of the trilogy was released on July 27, 2009. He has started a spinoff series, Office of Analysis and Solutions (OAS). The first book, Pirates and Cartels was awarded the 2011 Silver Medal by MWSA.

سلطان صاحبقران Soltan-e Sahebgharan - complete with subtitles
This is a compilation of the serial Soltan-e Sahebgharan which aired in 1974. The first part is set in the young Shah's early years under the tutelage of his reformist prime minister Amir Kabir. The second part (beginning at 1:10:00) is set around his 50th year of reign & the circumstances of his assassination.
Soltan-e Sahebgharan (Persian: سلطان صاحبقران; also Romanized as Soltān-e Sāhebgherān) is an Iranian historical 1974 TV series directed by Ali Hatami. It stars Jamshid Mashayekhi, Naser Malek Motiee, Iren, Parviz Fanizadeh, Zari Khoshkam, Saeed Nikpour and Jahangir Forouhar. It deals with The Ghajar dynasty era and Nasereddin shah and Amir Kabir's relations and struggles and also assassination of the Shah by Mirza Reza Kermani. (
