At November 23 my husband, daughter and I enjoyed the beautiful autumn leaves. We decided to visit Hondo-ji temple in Matsudo, Chiba prefecture. It was very beautiful and we enjoyed it so much.
If you ever plan to go to Japan during autumn season you might want to give this beautiful place a chance.

Hydrangeas at Hondo-ji Temple, Matsudo City 「本土寺の紫陽花」
Hondo-ji Temple is an old temple whose origin dates back to the 13th century. However, what makes this temple famous today is its hydrangeas. In June they cover almost all the precincts of the temple. Their sight is really awesome. Besides hydrangeas you can also see irises, waterlilies. No wonder it is dubbed as a Meigetsuin of Matsudo, a temple in Kamakura which is well-known for its gorgeous hydrangeas nationwide.

仁王門をくぐると、鮮やかに真っ赤、真っ黄色に染まったモミジでいっぱいでした!(^^)!
お坊さんに確認したところ、今週が見頃との事でした。
本土寺は千葉県松戸市にある、日蓮宗の本山。山号は長谷山（ちょうこくさん）。
モミジは京都にある様な、真っ赤な紅葉を選んで植栽しているとの事でした。納得です

If you have been living in Japan for a while, Chiba is a synonym for Narita Airport, Disneyland and other mega factories. However, this is just one side of Chiba! Indeed, the sister prefecture of Tokyo has in fact many secret hidden gems that are worth your attention, like for example the Hondo-ji Temple! Built in 1277 the Hondo-ji Temple belongs to the Nichiren sect of Buddhism and was founded by Nichiro, a disciple of the famous monk Nichiren. Alongside its strong cultural and spiritual past, Hondo-ji is also famous for its amazing autumn colors as well as for its iris and hydrangea garden which blooms the first half of June.

日蓮宗の本山である千葉県松戸市にある本土寺は、あじさい寺としても有名で、アジサイの時期には沢山の人が訪れます。今年は雨がすくなかったせいか、昨年よりもやや咲きぶりは劣りましたが、その分お寺の奥のほうにある菖蒲園では、花菖蒲が見事に咲いていました。

I explored around Matsudo Station in this video. We go into a pachinko/slots center, a claw machine center, inside Matsudo Station, discover some really good mugwort mochi, try some Calpis Jelly drink, discover Raiden Shrine, and miscalculate the distance to Kita-Matsudo Station.

I LOVE EXPLORING IN JAPAN! - Back Street Discoveries in Matsudo | JAPAN WALKING TOUR 2019
On this walk, I randomly explored some back streets of Matsudo and discovered some really nice hidden gems! I found a folk art museum, shrines and temples, and even walked into a bamboo grove.

そこに、参詣に行った際に、真赤に染まった紅葉の中に、
野鳥アトリを見つけました。アトリは、冬鳥で、集団で、
北方より飛んできますが、紅葉を鑑賞していたのは、
5～６羽でした。真赤な錦の中で、囀っていました。
