BEST theme park in HONG KONG | OCEAN PARK VLOG 2019
If you’re ever in Hong Kong, one of the top things I’d recommend for you to do is to go visit Ocean Park, one of the best theme parks in Hong Kong. I know, I know, you’ve probably got your eye on Disneyland Hong Kong… but the thing is, if you had to pick one between the two, I’d definitely recommend you choose Ocean Park.
You can go to Disneyland in other countries but Ocean Park really is quite unique. its a marine-life theme park with focus on animals, theme park rides and cool shows. AND it doesn't really matter how old you are, you'd still enjoy it.
Oh one thing to note though, try to bring your own food & drinks to Ocean Park because the food there is pricey.
I filmed this Ocean Park Vlog when i went to Hong Kong in Feb 2019 - hope you like it !
Tickets are $480 for adults (12 years +) and $240HKD for kids (3-11years).
Extract from the Hong Kong Tourism Board:
Opened in 1977, Ocean Park Hong Kong is a marine-life theme park featuring animals, thrill rides and shows. It is located on the southern side of Hong Kong Island, with an area of more than 915,000 square metres. The two major attractions areas, the Waterfront and the Summit, are connected by the Cable Car and Ocean Express funicular train.

ABOUT ME:
I'm a millennial who quit my corporate job in banking & finance in December 2018 to live life the way I want, everyday. I knew something wasn’t right when days all started to blur together and nothing stood out.
I want to see different places. I want to experience new things. I want to meet new people. I want to do something for the first time again.
This is the beginning of my journey to doing that, and to figuring out how I can generate income that will allow me to live life my way, every day.

Hong Kong Park - Things to do in Hong Kong
If you're planning to be on Hong Kong Island for any length of time, be sure to stop by Hong Kong Park for a break from the grind of the concrete jungle. Hong Kong Park is conveniently located steps away from Admirality MTR Station Exit C1. It also is just across the street from The Peak Lower Terminus. After your visit to the park, take a tram to the top of Victoria Peak and enjoy breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong's famous skyline.
While in the park, be sure to visit the open-air atrium to see more than 80 species of birds. Also, check out the conservatory and be transported to a desert and later a beautiful jungle paradise. You can also relax next to the ponds and waterfalls or climb the 30 meters to the top of Vantage Point for views of surrounding Central. If you're interested in some culture, stop by the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware.

Anti-government protesters flock to Hong Kong park for major rally
Subscribe to our YouTube channel for free here:
Hong Kong protesters gathered for another massive rally on August 18, 2019. This is the eleventh consecutive weekend of unrest in Hong Kong since the extradition bill crisis began in June.
Protesters began gathering at the starting point, Victoria Park, in the early afternoon. Police had only given permission for a rally, denying applications for a march. However, as the crowd kept growing, protesters flooded the streets nearby.
They reached Central after 4pm and took over part of Gloucester Road. By 5pm, while many people were leaving the starting point, many more were still trying to make their way into Victoria Park. As night fell, thousands of people continued to march down Hong Kong’s streets.
Organisers say 1.7 million people participated in the rally.

ULTRA HD 4K KOWLOON PARK IN HONG KONG | 九龍公園
#kowloonpark #park #hongkong #kowloon
Welcome to our Hong Kong Walking Tour in Kowloon Park 九龍公園 in Tsim Sha Tsui. Our video is shot in Ultra HD 4K, crystal clear quality, as if you are actually here.
'Kowloon Park (Chinese: 九龍公園) is a large public park in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It has an area of 13.3 hectares (33 acres) and is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
Flora and gardens
There is a tree walk located next to the Rose Garden. There are also some stone wall trees growing on the walls adjacent to aviary pond in Kowloon Park.
Museums
One preserved historic barrack, Block S58, is used as a godown of Hong Kong Museum of History. Three other preserved buildings of the former barracks are used as museums:
Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre
Main article: Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre
Blocks S61 and S62 of former Whitfield Camp are Grade III historical buildings which were constructed in circa 1910. They are a pair of identical two storied colonial military barrack blocks. The roofs are pitched with Chinese tiles with tar finish. They housed the former Hong Kong Museum of History from 1983 to 1998 before the completion of the present Hong Kong Museum of History at Chatham Road South. An extension block linking the two historical barracks was constructed in the 1980s to provide more space for the museum facilities. It now houses the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre.[11]
Health Education Exhibition and Resource Centre

Block S4 of former Whitfield Camp is a two-storied colonial military barrack building which is identical to Blocks S61 and S62. It now houses the Health Education Exhibition and Resource Centre.
Avenue of Comic Stars
Main article: Hong Kong Avenue of Comic Stars
Located near the park's Park Lane Shopper's Boulevard entrance, the Hong Kong Avenue of Comic Stars opened in 2012. It features 24 figurines of local comic characters and 10 bronze handprints of local comic artists along a 100-metre path.[12]
Bird Lake and the Aviary
Apart from the birds in the Bird Lake and the Aviary, about 100 different wild bird species can be found in the Park. The Conservation Corner, Color Garden, Chinese Garden, Bird Lake and Fitness Trail are ideal spots for wild bird watching.[13]
Sporting facilities

Kowloon Park Swimming Pool
The park houses an indoor sports centre and a large aquatics centre.
The pool complex is the most heavily used in Hong Kong, serving over 2000 swimmers daily.[14] It includes four indoor heated pools, including an Olympic sized 50-metre main pool, two 25-metre training pools, and a 20-metre diving pool. Outdoors, there are leisure pools of irregular shapes linked together by waterfalls, a circular paddling pool, and sunbathing areas. The swimming complex opened on 12 September 1989 and can accommodate a maximum of 1530 swimmers, and has an annual attendance of more than 1 million visitors.
As one of the best equipped swimming pools in Hong Kong, it is the only venue on the Kowloon side suitable for staging major or international swimming events.[15] Events of the Hong Kong Games are also held there regularly.
Other facilities
The former Kowloon West II Battery, which was graded as Grade I historic building, was converted into a children's adventure playground in Kowloon Park;[16] it is still recognisable for what it was, however. The gun emplacements have been renovated. Naval guns have been mounted in each emplacement after they were discovered at a construction site at Chatham Road in Tsim Sha Tsui in 1980.[17]'

Visiting Hong Kong Park & participating in a Chinese Tea Appreciation Ceremony (香港公園 - 香港公园)
Having visited Hong Kong three times previously, I had always been spoiled by pleasant weather; however, upon arriving this time torrential rains and the threat of a severe storm kept us indoors for the first few days. With clear skies we jumped at the opportunity to explore the city on foot. Heading from Kowloon to Hong Kong Island we first stopped at Hong Kong Park to wander around and take part in a tea appreciation ceremony.

With a plethora of free activities to consider in the city, adding a tour around Hong Kong Park to your itinerary is an absolute must.
Visiting Hong Kong Park & participating in a Chinese Tea Appreciation Ceremony (香港公園 - 香港公园).
So it's finally a beautiful sunny day here in Hong Kong, so today we're visiting Hong Kong Park.
So it's one hundred and five steps to the top. We're going to show you some views of Hong Kong and I'm going to beat because he's too slow.
It was definitely worth climbing up all those stairs even though I lost because these are some of the best free views of the city.
I'm kind of hoping Sam gets wet here. Get wet Sam.
So we got to Hong Kong about three days ago and it had been raining non-stop for those three days but now the skies have finally cleared so it's really nice to be able to walk around and enjoy the park..
Oh, it's too fat. Oh! That squirrel is in trouble.
It's so funny.
So we've signed up to take part in a few different cultural activities while we're here in Hong Kong and today we're doing a Chinese tea appreciation ceremony. This is taking place in Hong Kong Park.
There is a little tea house just in the center of the park and it's absolutely free of charge. You just need to sign up in advance through the Hong Kong Tourism board.
This is part of our Travel in Hong Kong series. We're making a series of videos showcasing Chinese culture, Chinese arts, Chinese foods, Chinese religion and Chinese people.

Ocean Park Hong Kong
Ocean Park Hong Kong is a wonderful and unique theme park which encompasses an amusement park, a marine life park, a zoo and an oceanarium. As such, it has something to offer to everyone in the family.
Ocean Park is divided into two areas: The Waterfront and The Summit, which are linked by a Cable Car system and an Ocean Express funicular train system.
My day in Ocean Park was most enjoyable as I could catch the antics of playful sea lions, enjoyed some thrilling rides, gawked in wonder at the amazing ocean denizens residing in the Grand Aquarium, and watched a wonderful dolphin show - all in the same day!
Ocean Park is a theme park like no other and I would encourage you to spend a wonderful day there when you are in Hong Kong.
