Honmyoji Temple (本妙寺）, Kumamoto City, Japan
Honmyoji Temple (本妙寺） is located in the suburbs of Kumamoto City. This temple is one of the well known temples in Kumamoto and was built in the 1600s.
One of the highlights of this temple is the many old stone lanterns that are lined up next to the staircase leading up to the temple. There is a nice view of the Kumamoto City from the temple precincts.

First I would like to apologise for the amount of feedback that was picked up by the mic due to the strong winds that day.
Like I said I wanted to make more videos that featured things in Kumamoto. Last week I went to 'Sakuranobaba Josaien' which is quite near Kumamoto Castle. Here in Sakuranobaba Josaien you can learn more about Kumamoto Prefecture and Kumamoto Castle. But at Sakura no Koji were I shot this video you will be able to sample many different types of food from all over Kumamoto Prefecture. You can also buy Kumamoto themed gifts from this area too.
