On the eighth episode of HIKI NŌ, hosted by Molokai High School on Molokai, students from Kalaheo High School in Windward Oahu chart the ups and downs in the school’s attempt to build its very own football Field of Dreams; students from Waiakea High School on Hawaii Island tell the story of a family business that invented one of Hilo’s iconic snack foods; students from Roosevelt High School on Oahu investigate the history of the most distinctive landmark on their campus; and students from Lahaina Intermediate on Maui give a lesson in a language unfamiliar to many adults – “Text Speak.”
