Holocaust survivor, 88, lives life to fullest as ski instructor
A Holocaust survivor and longtime ski instructor is making the most of the ski season and doesn't plan to have his final run any time soon.
Ralph Perlberger, 88, started skiing in college but didn't become an instructor until decades later when he saw an ad for an $85 training course at Hunter Mountain.
I told my wife this is a great way to get four days of early skiing for $20 a day, that's all I had in mind, Perlberger said.
That's all it took for him to become hooked. At the age of 72, he joined the ski school and he doesn't usually share his age, he says, because his students never ask.

Remembering Anne Frank
The story of Anne Frank :
Annelies Marie Anne Frank was born in the city of Frankfurt am Main in Weimar Germany, and who lived most of her life in or near Amsterdam, in the Netherlands.
She gained international fame posthumously following the publication of her diary which documents her experiences hiding during the German occupation of the Netherlands in World War II.
Anne and her family moved to Amsterdam in 1933 after the Nazis gained power in Germany, and were trapped by the occupation of the Netherlands, which began in 1940. As persecutions against the Jewish population increased, the family went into hiding in July 1942 in hidden rooms in her father Otto Frank's office building. After two years, the group was betrayed and transported to concentration camps. Seven months after her arrest, Anne Frank died of typhus in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, within days of the death of her sister, Margot Frank. Her father Otto, the only survivor of the group, returned to Amsterdam after the war to find that her diary had been saved, and his efforts led to its publication in 1947. It was translated from its original Dutch and first published in English in 1952 as The Diary of a Young Girl.
The diary, which was given to Anne on her 13th birthday, chronicles her life from 12 June 1942 until 1 August 1944. It has been translated into many languages, has become one of the world's most widely read books, and has been the basis for several plays and films. Anne Frank has been acknowledged for the quality of her writing, and has become one of the most renowned and most discussed victims of the Holocaust.
On September 3,the group was deported on what would be the last transport from Westerbork to the Auschwitz concentration camp, and arrived after a three-day journey.
On 28 October, selections began for women to be relocated to Bergen-Belsen. More than 8,000 women, including Anne and Margot Frank and Auguste van Pels, were transported, but Edith Frank was left behind and later died from starvation.
In March 1945, a typhus epidemic spread through the camp and killed approximately 17,000 prisoners. Witnesses later testified that Margot fell from her bunk in her weakened state and was killed by the shock, and that a few days later Anne died. They stated that this occurred a few weeks before the camp was liberated by British troops on 15 April 1945, although the exact dates were not recorded. After liberation, the camp was burned in an effort to prevent further spread of disease, and Anne and Margot were buried in a mass grave, the exact whereabouts of which is unknown.
Everything belongs to their rightfull owners, except the video footage of Anne and Margot's memorial stone.
The music is from a documentary called; Anne Frank 80 years and the last footage is from another documentary called: The short life of Anne Frank.
Rest in peace Anne.

Anne Frank; WHY?
NOTE: THE VOICE HEARD IN THE VIDEO ISN'T ANNE FRANK'S. ITS MINE (:
Anne Frank was the second child of Edith & Otto Frank. She was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany. She has an older sister Margot. The Frank family were Jews. The first years of Anne's childhood were full of peace, happiness and joy. Until Aldolf Hitler came into the power of Germany.
He hated Jews and wanted them to be murdered first. Jewish people weren't allowed to swim, to ride a bike, go to the cinema and much more. It was getting dangerous for Jewish people. So Edith & Otto frank decided to move to Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Hitler promised he wouldn't attack Holland. So they thought it was a safe place to live, but Hitler broke his promise and in 1940 Hitler attacked Holland. World War II has started.
The Frank family decided to submerge together with another family who Otto Frank knew from his work. They hid in the factory of Otto Frank. A few people knew about it but the others didn't. They hid for 2 years. They had to be silent everyday and they couldn't go outside cause nobody was supposed to see them. Everyday they lived in the fear of being discovered. On August 4, 1944 (after hiding in fear for 2 years) a car arrived for the factory with police officers in it. They came inside and discovered the Frank family and the other family. Someone had told them there were Jewish people in there. It's still not known who called the cops.
On August 8, 1944 the 8 hiding people were brought into a train to Westerbork (concentration camp). After 2 years, they finally could see something different then the factory where they were hiding. They were in Westerbork a few weeks.
On September 2, 1944 all the names were read of the people who had to travel on the train the following day. The Frank family and the other family were included. It wasn't a passenger train, it was a freight train. A train full with 1,020 Jewish people were leaving Holland. It was believed 20 of all the people will die in the train cause it was too full. In every wagon was a toilet which was used by 70 people so the stench was incredible.
About 3 days later they arrived in Auschwitz. Through the speakers they heard this: Everyone get out of the train! Leave all baggage! Women on one side, men on the other side. Otto Frank was seperated from his wife and kids. Otto said, ''The look in the eyes of Margot I will remember all my life. It would be the last time he saw his children and wife. Old people and mothers with young children were going to the gas chambers together. A woman who was with the Frank family during this time said, I saw Anne standing there crying because of a group young children from Hungary were waiting a half day in the rain before the gas chambers.
In the end of October, the Nazi's decided to bring all woman who can still work back to Germany. Edith Frank isn't able to work because she's very weak, she had to stay in Auschwitz. But Anne and Margot were able to work and there they stood, naked and bald. Anne was looking at Edith in her eyes the whole time, untill they vanished behind the spotlight. Edith couldn't see her children anymore and cried, The kids! O God!
After terrible train traveling of 3 days Anne and Margot were arrived in Bergen-Belsen. The Russian army were getting closer and closer, the Nazi's got nervous. They wanted to remove the camp in Auschwitz, All people who were able to walk were brought into transport. Otto Frank was too weak and had to stay. On January 27, 1945 all the prisoners from Auschwitz were liberated. Otto Frank was one of them. Edith Frank became so weak that she passed away on January 6, 1945.
Suddenly Anne got to meet her friend from the past, Hanneli. They talked to each other every evening but they couldn't see each other as they were talking over the separation. The first time the girls cried a lot. Anne told Hanneli they shaved off her hair and she was really lean. She thought her parents were dead.
Margot and Anne became ill. They had typhus. Margot and Anne laid in the barrack near the door.
It was really cold. They didn't have warm clothes. Every time they called for someone to close the door because they were too weak to close the door by themselves. Anne and Margot died in March 1945. First Margot fell out of bed on the stone floor and she wasn't able to get up. Anne died a day later at the age of 15.
Margot and Anne were thrown together with other dead people on a big pile. A few weeks later, on April 15, 1945 the camp got liberated by the British army.
Otto Frank got back to Holland in the end of March. He tried everything to discover if his children and wife were still alive. Later he was told they did not survive. A member of the factory gave him Anne's diary and he published it worldwide, as he read that her dream was for it to get published.
In 1953 Otto Frank married again and moved to Switzerland. He died there in 1953 due to lung cancer at the age of 91.
