Greyhound Jumps In The Pond At Henlow Park In England
#5 Swift Casey runs across the infield to try and catch the field but inadvertently jumps right in to the infield pond. She was absolutely fine and according to her trainer, this kind of run fits her personality to a T. Splash!
1S51 Birmingham to Derby HST in 360º (View in 4K)
1S51 leaves the dark station platforms of Birmingham New Street on time and heads to the first booked stop at Tamworth. During this part of the journey, the train passes the site of the old Curzon Street station which is where the new HS2 station is to be located, as well as the Lawley container terminal and the large Washwood Heath freight sidings. A little later, and at speed we pass Bombardier's Central Rivers depot, specially built to repair and maintain the Class 220 Voyager and 221 Super Voyager train sets. After a brief stop at Tamworth we slowly approach Derby station. This was filmed in July 2018 and it was only a matter of weeks before Network Rail closed the station to traffic for 79 days to remodel the tracks and platforms. Preparation work for the closure is evident on the approach.
1S51 Derby to Sheffield
A short hop between Derby and Sheffield with just one stop at Chesterfield station. Just south of Chesterfield 1S51 passes over Clay Cros junction which brings in lines from Nottingham, and shortly after is Tapton Junction which takes trains to Barrow Hill, Rotherham and Sheffield.
*All 360 footage was filmed after speaking to and with the agreement of the Train Manager. I do not condone sticking anything out of a moving train window as this is extremely dangerous.
Queen's Black Rod has door slammed in his face by MPs
Black Rod is a senior officer in the British House of Lords. Despite being responsible for security, access and order within the House and its precincts, Black Rod is most famous for his role at the State Opening of Parliament. This year's Opening took place on the 4th June 2014 and saw Black Rod perform his usual duty of being sent from the House of Lords to the House of Commons to summon MPs to hear the Queen's Speech (not being a commoner, the Queen is not allowed to enter the House of Commons herself).
As is tradition, the door is slammed in Black Rod's face at first to symbolise the Commons' independence. After being summoned, all MPs then follow Black Rod to the House of Lords, talking loudly as they go. Look out for the Prime Minister David Cameron and opposition leader Ed Miliband making small talk.

Couple Tries to Stop Cruise Ship From Leaving Port
A couple frantically tried to stop a cruise ship that was leaving without them in the Bahamas after they turned up 45 minutes late to board the vessel. The couple was on a Royal Caribbean ship on Feb. 15 when they actually missed the boat. The unidentified man and woman were supposed to get back to the ship by 3:30 p.m., which is the last call for passengers, but when they showed up at the dock late the door was already closed. Video captured the pair looking dejected at the ship leaves them behind.
Wiener Dog Races March 12 at Turf Paradise
It’s the largest Wiener Dog race in Arizona and it’s returning to Turf Paradise March 12.
They may not have the speed or stride of thoroughbred horses, but they sure have heart.
Wiener Mania returns to Turf Paradise Saturday March 12th. Sponsored by Arizona Adopt a Greyhound . The Wiener Dogs will be racing from noon to 5pm in what has become a premiere race in the Wiener Dog circuit.
Right before the races there will be a Parade of Wieners for the racing dogs. There is also a Wiener Dog fashion show in which hundreds of Wiener Dogs strut their stuff on the “dog walk.” It wouldn’t be right to call it a catwalk.
There is still time for Wiener Dog owners to enter their dogs. Just follow the link.
Here are some video highlights of last year’s Wiener Dog races.
In addition to the Wiener Dogs, there is also a full card of live horse racing. The day also includes $3 bottled beer and $2 hot dogs and live music. Admission is just $2.
Turf Paradise General Manager Vince Francia said, “These Wiener Dogs may not be setting any speed records but they sure are fan favorites. And while you can’t wager on Wieners, we still have plenty of horse racing for fans who want to wager, watch, and win.”
Sunday, March 13th is Dollar Day. Grandstand admission is a dollar. So are programs, hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream and sodas. Draft beer is just $2.
In addition to offering live local racing through May 8th the season also includes
Special Fiesta Sundays throughout the season featuring Mexican food and music
Camel and Ostrich Races March 26th
Kentucky Derby Party May 7th
Turf Paradise is Arizona’s first sports franchise, and has operated continuously at the same location at 19th Ave and Bell. It offers one of the longest racing seasons in the United States thanks to Arizona’s great weather. Through Off Track Betting networks its races are viewed at OTB locations all over the United States and worldwide.
