Fall of Japan. Tateyama Castle & Lake Kameyama 房総の秋 館山・君津
Tateyama castle is said to be a castle in the south of Chiba prefecture which was built in 1680.
It was demolished in the 18th century, after that it became a park.
The current building is a simulated tower, and the inside is a museum.
Within 2 km from this building there is a Self Defense Force air base, this time we are taking permission.

Alternative Japan holidays - The Japanese Alps
If you don't want the standard Japan holidays, follow me through the Hida Takayama region, also known as the Japanese Alps!
This video takes us to the beautiful houses of Shirakawa-go where we take a bicycle tour and learn how to make Onigiri. We then head to Hida where we visit the Furukawa Festival site, check out a traditional candle-maker and visit a Sake Factory. We will take an electric bike for a spin on former railroad tracks at Gattan Go and enjoy a traditional Japanese breakfast. Then we head on to Takayama where we visit a shrine and the old government house Takayama Jinya, before checking out a local market and taking a rickshaw. We will enjoy some Soba noodles, enroll in a cooking class and visit the exhibition hall of the floats for the Takayama Matsuri Festival. Another stop is at the workshop where the floats are being repaired. We participate in a traditional tea ceremony and visit a man who's been drawing horses since the Edo era. last but not least I will show you the Hida Osaka Falls and an Onsen experience before praising the local food and the friendliness of the Japanese. If you still don't want to go visit the Japanese Alps after that, well, then I can't really help you! ;-)

Sharks' City in ITO Tateyama Chiba Japan
Few years ago, my first visit under the sea of ITO in TATEYAMA of CHIBA pref., I saw many new born baby sharks while they were sleeping and some were swimming. At that moment, I still could not make sure where were the parents indeed. But now they are grown up and gather together so people call this area as Sharks' City.

Me and my husband visited the The Great Buddha of Kamakura (鎌倉大仏, Kamakura Daibutsu). It is a bronze statue of Amida Buddha, which stands on the grounds of Kotokuin Temple. With a height of 13.35 meters, it is the second tallest bronze Buddha statue in Japan, surpassed only by the statue in Nara's Todaiji Temple.
The statue was cast in 1252 and originally located inside a large temple hall. However, the temple buildings were destroyed multiple times by typhoons and a tidal wave in the 14th and 15th centuries. So, since 1495, the Buddha has been standing in the open air.

JAPAN TRIP 2019 // HYOGO'S AWAJI ISLAND 淡路島!
A two-hour drive and a missed exit later we finally arrived at Awaji island! This island that connects Kobe with Shikoku is sometimes said to be Hokkaido of Western Japan. There are flowers everywhere, lots of farms and great food! During our little trip, we first enjoyed the beautiful flower fields at Hanasajiki before going for something really exciting!! Hitting the target whilst riding at full pelt seems to be quite difficult.

Toyama Koen (Park) is near Waseda University. Practice went from 1pm to about 2.30pm.

Mt. Kasagatake, elev. 2898m, Japan's 34th highest peak, Northern Japan Alps
Bus stop to summit is over 1800 meters (~5900 ft.), which is well over a vertical mile, and equivalent to climbing up Japan's highest skyscraper (the Landmark Tower in Yokohama) SIX times, or climbing up from the Colorado River to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I now need a new body. Video includes riding on the Shinkansen, the onset of a snowstorm, inside the mountain hut, sunrise, a 360-degree panorama from the summit, awesome mountain scenery, and a final commentary by the tour guide. :-)
