SCUK 2 - South Coast UK Motorcycle Tour 2017 - Day Two
Another epic riding day. 230 miles I think on day two. Gosport to Liskeard.
It was a journey of extremes. I didn't spend enough time in each place, I spent too long riding and covered too much ground in one day. I felt rushed and conscious of getting to the destination. I achieved 230 miles on day two, less than day one, equally as tough.
I hope you like it and can (at least) give me some constructive criticism.
I think I need to sign off better.

4 Bedroom Farm House for sale in Rochester - £825,000
Full Tour:
Estate:
fineandcountry.co.uk
This wonderful farmhouse is found within this historic area of North Kent amidst quite beautiful countryside yet is superbly accessible to the transport network. Notably the High Speed One rail terminus at Ebbsfleet is approx. 12 miles away and offers connections to London St Pancrass in just 19 minutes and incredibly direct services to Paris in just over 2 hours. The motorway network again afford easy access to both the capital and coast, with the nearest junction of the M2 being just 7 miles away.
The property itself is believed to date from around 1700 and is predominantly Georgian in its external styling. Internally the property enjoys period character throughout with more modern sympathetic fittings installed where necessary. Currently the property is configured with three reception areas and four bedrooms. The clear potential to add further accommodation is present available with the second floor area of almost 1400 sq ft - formerly believed to house the servants quarters, being ripe for restoration.
Externally, the grounds are reasonably flat and interspersed with fruit trees, horse chestnut and an 'evergreen' oak. A striking natural pond is found in between the rear garden of the house and the approaching country lane.
The property is accessed via a side driveway, that is shared in part to afford neighbours access to their property which is positioned beyond the south west boundary. An elegant sweeping circular gravelled driveway sits in front on the property and affords generous parking provision. Further parking and a single garage is located to side of the main driveway.

Liskeard is an ancient stannary and market town and civil parish in south east Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. Liskeard is situated approximately 20 miles (32 km) west of Plymouth, 14 miles (23 km) west of the River Tamar and the border with Devon, and 12 miles (20 km) east of Bodmin. The town is at the head of the Looe valley in the ancient hundred of West Wivelshire. Liskeard was the base of the former Caradon District Council and it still has a town council. There are 3 wards in Liskeard (including Dobwalls).
Liskeard is one of the few towns in Cornwall still to have a regular livestock market, every other Tuesday. There is a range of restaurants, cafes and pubs in the town, and some shops retain their Victorian shopfronts and interiors. Liskeard puts on a pantomime in the last week of January and holds a carnival every June. Every July, Liskeard holds a large agricultural show, The Liskeard Show, which is always held on the second Saturday in July.
Liskeard boasts St. Martin's, the second largest parish church in Cornwall. The Foresters Hall now houses the Tourist Information Office and Liskeard & District Museum. The Foresters still meet in the town at the Public Rooms in West Street. Stuart House (on the Parade) was used by Charles I as a lodging in 1644.
Luxstowe House (1831). Designed by George Wightwick for William Glencross. The Guildhall was built in 1859 and has a prominent clock tower. The Public Hall was constructed in 1890. Webb's House (formerly Webb's Hotel) is a classic early Victorian market-town hotel featuring in royal visits. Pencubitt House was built in 1897 for J. H. Blamey, a wealthy wool merchant. The Liskeard Union Workhouse, architect John Foulston of Plymouth (later the Lamellion Hospital).
Liskeard railway station, on the London Paddington to Penzance Cornish Main Line, and the A38 trunk road provide the town with rapid access to Plymouth, the rest of Cornwall and the motorway network. Liskeard is also served by the Looe Valley branch line to Looe. There are regular bus services to various parts of Cornwall.

British Livestock Auction, historical footage the 90s. Travel to Britain, England, Dartmoor.
The following clip is part of a longer video that I filmed during various trips to Dartmoor / Devon / England in the mid and late 90s. The chapter livestock market shows recordings from the Tavistock livestock market. It was very impressive for me at that time and is still a travel tip ! I recorded it with my first digital Cam, a Sony dcr-trv210e in Digital8 format. Since then i visited Great Britain, Tavistock and the English country side, every year and ist changed a lot during the years. Watch Dartmoor ponies and sheep in Devon! The Rosamunde Pilcher land and europe travel hotspot!

Green Road JOGLE - A Motorcycle Photo Film
In July Carla Mckenzie, Andrew Byatt and I rode from John o’ Groats to Land’s End (JOGLE) via Britain’s network of byways and unsurfaced ‘green roads’ in order to raise money for charity. The ride took us through private Scottish estates, nature reserves, the Lake District, Peak District, Wales, the Cotswold Hills and the West Country terrain with which I am more familiar.
The adventure has – via the Lt. Dougie Dalzell MC Memorial Trust - raised nearly £12,000 (so far) for Bike Tours for the Wounded – a not-for-profit community interest company that provides support to both former and serving members of Britain’s armed forces.
Naturally, I recorded the entire 1,800 mile ride using my helmet camera. Given that my footage will take an awfully long time to edit, I have produced this video using around 900 photos that I took during the ride. Feel free to ask me the story behind any given photo by providing a time reference in the comments field (i.e., ‘What were you thinking at 5:45?’).
For much of the ride we were accompanied by motorcycling journalist Paul Blezard, who helped Carla produce a fantastic written and photographic record of her adventure, which can be viewed here:
