Horseshoe Lake in Jasper
These images were taken a few years ago during the Forest Fire Season that was ripping thru the Okanagan in British Columbia. You can certainly see the hazy condition in the air on most of these slides. Still beautiful country in the Jasper area....Enjoy and share if you like these images. :)

Horseshoe Lake, Jasper Alberta Cliff Diving Accident (Autumn Lee 2016)
Jumped off this cliff and split myself in half. Open book pelvic fracture, spent the next 8 months in the hospital, and had to relearn to walk again. It is not worth it to risk your life to jump off this cliff. Admire its beauty from below. Dont make the same mistake I did.

- Peyto Lake
- Crowfoot Glacier
- Saskatchewan River Crossing
- Mistaya Canyon
- Wilcox Pass Trail
- Bridal Veil Falls
- Sunwapta Pass
- Tangle Creek Falls
- Stutfield Glacier
- Athabasca Falls
- Horseshoe Lake
- Valley of the Five Lakes

Free Camping near Banff - TRIPPED RV Season 3 Ep 10
We were just as surprised as you are about free camping near Banff. The Saskatchewan River Crossing is actually INSIDE Banff National Park and they allow overnight parking in their parking lot.
Parking overnight in a RV at The Crossing located at Saskatchewan River Crossing is completely free- they just ask that you stay one night only and only park in the gravel lot between 3PM and 9AM, which is PLENTY of time.
There laundry, a convenience store, gas, RV dump and water, and even a little restaurant/pub where you can have a couple beers and a massive plate of nachos. While the gravel lot you’re staying in might be a bit on the rustic side, the view is absolutely incredible and we found it quiet enough given the price. We’ve stayed in much worse for much more money ;)

As we headed North out of Banff, we took time to do an incredible hike to Bow Glacier Falls. Weren’t we out kayaking on Bow Lake in the last episode? (Yes. Yes we were.)
We made a stop in Jasper at the Athabasca Glacier. Apparently, we spent too much time researching where to stay in Banff and not enough to learn about what an attraction Athabasca glacier was. We arrived too late in the day to go on a tourbus up to the glacier- so if you’re interested in that, plan accordingly.
There is a massive visitors center and parking lot so accessibility is easy. You CANNOT drive your own vehicle up to the glacier- you must take the bus and pay for the bus pass. If you’re not that interested in getting an up close view of a retreating glacier there are plenty of hiking trails nearby where you can still get VERY close.

Jasper 2015: Hiking and Horseshoe Lake
Who didn't have a blast on this on this trip?? Cliff diving at horseshoe lake, scrambling up mountains along the Geraldine Lakes trail, and all that good camping food. Francophone rangers and waterfall photo-shoots, and drones and nitrogen trucks. We were told to Just do it and that is exactly what we did, because when WE'RE CAMPING it ain't going to be a bad time no matter the amount of ratchet that builds up. Hope you enjoy!
