High Shoals Creek Falls is located 7 miles north of Helen, Ga. in the Chattahoochee National Forest. This was shot in March 2010 after a light snowfall. Filmed with a Panasonic HPX170 and edited with Edius 5. I used a lot of motion blending in this video to accentuate the fluidity of the water. Music by Frozen Silence (Nightingale). Details and directions to the falls may be found at
Raven Cliffs Falls - A Georgia mountain surprise!
If you are up to a 5 mile round trip hike in the mountains, this is one of the most unusual waterfalls in Georgia. The path is comfortable with wooden bridges over streams and a winding trail along the stream. A short climb will put you face to face with stone pillars and a space for the waterfall to cascade between them. Truely worth the round trip effort. n-georgia.com

a wet day but we went anyway. when wet a trip to the top of the falls was impossible. the trail is steep but manageable i would not want to go much later in the year than i did. the leaves make it harder to follow the trail.
