Located at the entrance to the Swan Valley, Houghton Winery has been proudly producing award-winning Western Australian wines for over 175 years. Our picturesque property is steeped in history featuring buildings constructed from handmade, local bricks, magnificent, spacious gardens, 100 year old Norfolk pines and a breathtaking Jacaranda grove. Wine tastings from our ever popular Houghton Stripe range through to our iconic Jack Mann Cabernet are available in our tastefully refurbished, modern Cellar Door where you can enjoy the quality and consistency which has made our wines famous all over the world.

The cafe at Houghton Winery, with its semi-alfresco dining area, provides visitors with morning and afternoon tea options and offers a selection of delicious lunches based on local, seasonal produce. Our popular sharing platters and individual dishes can be enjoyed either in our paved cafe area or on the expansive lawned area, allowing you total freedom to enjoy your day with family and friends.

David & Pat own and operate Caversham Wildlife Park with their son David & daughter Debbie. When they purchased the park in 1987, the park housed a small collection of animals and birds on a modest 5 acre (2ha) property. A few years later, the park doubled in size, when the family purchased the adjoining property and the collection started to boom. In May 2003, the family designed and built a new park in Whiteman Park, once again, more than doubling in size.

CWP features about 200 species, and more than 2000 head of animals, birds and reptiles. This impressive collection makes CWP the largest privately owned collection of native wildlife in Western Australia. The park is the premiere development of its kind in Western Australia, attracting visitors from all over the world.

CWP pride themselves on their unique interactive experiences with Australia’s most interesting animals, without being commercialised. CWP is a world-class attraction whilst maintaining the laid-back Aussie touch.

Visitors receive personalized service by wildlife professionals who are dedicated to exceptional service, ensuring their visitors receive the best opportunities for animal interaction, information and photographs.

As a local, WA family owned and operated business, we do not receive any assistance from the Government, so we are sincerely thankful to our patrons for assisting us to care for our unique Australian wildlife. We have very proudly owned CWP for 26 years, and with continued visitor support, we endeavour to continue providing a world-class facility for all to enjoy.

Whistler’s Chocolate Co is the oldest, family-owned confectionery company in the Swan Valley. Comprising of a chocolate showroom, cocoa lounge, café and a large outdoor area, Whistler’s has something for everyone.

Well known for traditional favourites like rocky road, chocolate-coated licorice, coconut rough, handmade honeycomb and handmade brittles, we also have more modern favourites like our famous chocolate pretzels and chocolate caramel popcorn, plus a great range of dark chocolate from dark chocolate-coated macadamias, almonds, ginger, nougat and our gourmet dark chocolate bark with flavours like chilli and cinnamon, sea salt, burnt caramel and chai.

Icecream, macarons and our handmade fudge also feature in our chocolate showroom, along with a lovely selection of gifts from West Australian designers Anna Chandler Design, Evaglo candles and Mokoh West Australian gifts and cards.

Our very family-friendly café has a large outdoor area, a great venue to host a gathering of friends and family.

With our expansive showroom, great café and friendly customer service team, Whistler’s is definitely a go-to destination in the Swan Valley.
