Should You Visit Solihull Shopping Centre?
The script
I like going to Solihull. It is one of the few places around that you can actually still drive to and park easily. It is 24 miles from where I live but it is quicker to get to and park than Birmingham which is about 8 miles away.
So should you pay it a visit – well have a brief look around and see what you think.
Once you are parked you get to wander into House of Fraser and then into the shopping centre called Mell Square. It’s got the usual stores WH Smith, Boots, , Marks and Spencer.
We’ll go for a quick wander into Marks and Spencer
It’s all privately owned by a very rich evangelical local Christian guy called Lord Edmiston.
Then you get to walk down the high street with more chain shops.
The gem is Touchwood Court a shopping mall that opened in 2001 and houses the flagship John Lewis store. They famously decide to open here rather than the larger Birmingham City Centre.
It’s all about an enjoyable retail experience made more enjoyable by watching the well heeled people of Solihull spending their hard earned cash.

Nice mostly original Keighley. Buttons have been replaced though and voice has been added but it is wired into the existing logic which has pre doors/classic levelling!

Epic Beatties In Wolverhampton (Soon To Be Closed Down)
Beatties was a small British department store group located primarily in the Midlands of England. In 2005, when it had 12 stores, the group was acquired by House of Fraser. On 14 January 2006, the Birmingham store closed, because a similar House of Fraser store, Rackhams, was not far away. In August 2007, the Telford store was rebranded, along with the Solihull and Sutton Coldfield stores.
The group is gradually rebranding all its branches under the House of Fraser name. In January 2010 the Dudley branch was closed.

'Cabot Circus' Shopping Circus:
Cabot Circus is a shopping centre in Bristol, England. It is adjacent to Broadmead, a shopping district in Bristol city centre. The Cabot Circus development area contains shops, offices, a cinema, hotel and 250 apartments. It covers a total of 139,350 m2 (1,500,000 sq ft) floor space, of which 92,900 m2 (1,000,000 sq ft) is retail outlets and leisure facilities.[1] It opened in September 2008, after a ten-year planning and building project costing £500 million.[2]
Cabot Circus has over 120 shops, two department stores, several restaurants, a thirteen-screen Showcase Cinema de Lux, a Jungle Rumble Adventure Golf centre and is split into two areas, the circus itself and Quakers Friars. The Circus is divided into three streets and multiple levels. Outlets include New Look, Urban Outfitters, Zara, Hollister Co, H&M, The Body Shop, JD Sports, Pull & Bear, Smiggle, Boux Avenue and House of Fraser. Above at the highest level are the cinema and eateries which includes Giraffe, Bella Italia, Frankie & Benny's, Nando's, YO! Sushi, Zizzi and Gourmet Burger Kitchen. There are also cafes and restaurants on the upper ground floor, these include Five Guys, TGI Friday's and Pret a Manger. On the opposite side of Penn street is the Quakers Friars area, which houses Harvey Nichols having been opened by Dita Von Teese.[7] Other outlets in the area include French Connection, Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, Kurt Geiger, Fat Face and an Apple Store.
