Visiting Cregneash and the House of Manannan
The first of two programmes exploring some of the Island’s history and heritage, and the work carried out by Manx National Heritage to preserve it for the Manx nation.
This week, we take a trip to the National Folk Museum in Cregneash to speak to Heritage Site Manager for the South Helen Ashcroft, and take a tour of the House of Manannan in Peel with Heritage Site Manager for the attraction Suzanne Walker.

It was a big day on Merseyside when the Queen arrived to inaugurate the Langton-Canada dock improvement scheme which costs £20 million. She was to open the gates of the entrance-lock, which allows the biggest cargo-vessels to come and go at almost any state of the tide. The lock gives access to 7 brand-new berths, which the Queen was to see.
