YAMAGUCHI PREFECTURE - MINE CITY AND YAMAGUCHI CITY
This time we went to Yamaguchi Prefecture, next to Fukuoka Prefecture. The access is pretty easy. You can go there by car from Kitakyushu Airport in one hour by, and Shimonoseki Port in 45 minutes.
Mine City has a rich nature and is a famous tourist destination. Akiyoshido, a limestone cave which is older than 300 million years can be seen. Furthermore, once a year the so-called fire-walking festival is held in Yamaguchi City. Participants walk with their bare feet over the fire for the safety of their homes and a prosperity business year. Another interesting place is the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media (YCAM). Here you can find new technology and gadgets to ease everyday life. By all means, please visit Yamaguchi.

SPIRITED AWAY INFLUENCED ONSEN HOT SPRING BATH｜Day 84 - Ehime
Dogo Onsen Honkan (道後温泉本館, Dōgo Onsen Honkan) is the symbol and main attraction of Dogo Onsen. The charismatic bath house was built in 1894 during the Meiji Period. Its wooden interior is a maze of stairways, passages and rooms, usually bustling with activity by staff and guests. Dogo Onsen Honkan is said to have served as inspiration for the award-winning animated film Spirited Away by Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli.
Tenshaen Garden (天赦園) is a lovely mid-sized Japanese garden located southwest of Uwajima Castle. It was built in 1866 as a recreational venue by the ruling lord from the Date Clan. The garden offers changing scenery according to the seasons and was favored by the lord as a spot to practice his calligraphy. Harusametei, an artistic-looking calligraphy room frequented by the lord, still stands at the center of the garden today.
Uwajima Castle (宇和島城, Uwajimajō) is one of only twelve original castles that survive intact from the Edo Period (1603-1867). The small but atmospheric castle was built around the turn of the 17th century and was later refurbished when the Date family took over ownership in 1615. The Date clan continued to rule Uwajima from Uwajima Castle through the Edo Period. The castle stands on a hill which was situated just by the sea in the past, but land reclamation along the coast has resulted in it standing further inland today.

SAGA PREFECTURE – THE NORTHERN AREA OF SAGA CITY
This time we went to the northern area of Saga City, right next to Fukuoka Prefecture. We visited Mitsuse, Nao, and Furuyu by car, and had a great time at these little-known but amazing places. There are plenty of natural beautiful landscapes, small cafes and hot springs where you can find relaxation for your body and soul. In addition, we got the chance to experience traditional crafts at a workshop and learned a lot about the simple life from the early days at a guest house. The best way to reach those unique places is by rental car. It only takes one hour from Fukuoka City. Give it a shot and visit the northern area of Saga.

The National Police Agency (警察庁, Keisatsu-chō) is an agency administered by the National Public Safety Commission of the Cabinet Office of the Cabinet of Japan, and is the central agency of the Japanese police system, and the central coordinating agency of law enforcement in situations of national emergency in Japan.
Unlike comparable bodies such as the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, the NPA does not have any operational units of its own except for the Imperial Guard. Instead, its role is to determine general standards and policies, although in national emergencies or large-scale disasters the agency is authorized to take command of Prefectural Police Departments.
As of 2016, the NPA has a strength of 7,800 officers: 2,100 police officers, 900 Imperial guards and 4,800 police staff. The total strength of the Prefectural Police Department is approximately 287,900 officers: 259,500 police officers and 28,400 police staff. Nationwide, there are approximately 22,000 female police officers and 12,700 female police staff.
MY SCARIEST EXPERIENCE IN JAPAN!｜Day 82 - Tokushima
The Iya Valley (祖谷渓, Iyakei) is a remote, mountainous valley in western Tokushima Prefecture. Located deep in the heart of Shikoku Island, the secluded valley is characterized by steep mountain slopes and deep rocky gorges which were traditionally crossed by vine bridges. Three of the vine bridges, Iya Kazurabashi and the Oku-Iya Kazurabashi bridges, are maintained to this day and remain some of the most popular attractions of the area. Iya is also well known for its hot springs and outdoor activities.
Due to its remoteness, the valley has served as a refuge for members of the Taira Clan (also known as Heike) who escaped to the region after losing the Gempei War (1180-1185) at the end of the Heian Period. Their descendants can still be found hundreds of years later around the Iya Valley and in other remote regions of Japan such as Shirakawago, Yunishigawa, and the Noto Peninsula.

1975 Shark Nose Nissan/Datsun Bluebird U 2000 GTX (G610)
This is easily one of the finest 610 Bluebirds I have ever seen. This is a サメブル (Sa-me-bu-ru) extended nose Bluebird so as to accommodate the longer, L20 SOHC 6 cylinder engine. The car is largely original and immaculate condition. It truly is a credit to its owner(s).
The wheels are SSR MkII's, and in my eyes the perfect accompaniment to this stunning car. Wheel sizes:175/60/14 front, and 195/60/14 rear.

Taketa City in Oita Prefecture
Have you ever heard of Taketa City in Oita Prefecture? If you are looking for something different from artificial tourist attractions, Taketa is a place for you to go. It takes about 150min by car from Hakata Station to get there. Taketa is abundant in amazing landscapes. For example, the Kuju Highland is breathtakingly beautiful especially when you go off the main roads. Furthermore, the ruins of Oka Castle are famous all over Japan. The castle`s main structures were torn down due to the Meiji restoration. Its grand stone walls which still stand there were built with astonishing technique, making the castle ruins outstanding up to today.From the 325m high plateau near the castle, you can get a spectacular view. Once a year, Chikuraku (Taketa Bamboo Lantern Festival) is held. More than 20,000 lanterns create a romantic and kind of mysterious atmosphere. A unique festival you shouldn`t miss. Taketa also has Onsen to offer. Nagayu Hot Spring are highly carbonated and popular.

Three Abused 1987 Nissan Be-1's. One Good, One Bad, One Ugly
Production was limited to just 10,000 of these retro cars from Nissan, despite 10 times that many wishing to buy one. The Be-1 was one of several Pike Factory cars of the time to share the K10 March/Micra platform.
In this video I show two in pretty rough shape. One seems saveable. I show a third (a tomato red one) that I spotted a few years ago also.
