What happens when an aspiring pumpkin farmer graduates at the top of his class in Electronics Engineering Technology? Meet Jerry Howell.
Singing chicken shows, animal bands, talking corn stalks – these are just some innovative ways this multiple-award winning Computer Engineering Technology grad (1988) has been applying his college education in innovative ways. The result: an animatronic wonderland that has put his family farm in Fonthill, Ontario on the map as an agritourist destination.

Howlin' Good Time at Howells Pumpkin Farm

Family trip to Howell's Family Pumpkin Farm in Fonthill, Ontario. A bit of a fall tradition here in Niagara. Ben was right in there with doing some of the videoing. The Black Keys song Howlin' For You seemed a good fit for the occasion.

Have Fun at Howells 2010 Light Show

This is our 2010 light display at the front of our farm. There are 48 carved giant pumpkins, 16 corn stalks with blue and green lights, lightning effects and 3 animated jack-o-lanterns. Come see it at our farm only until Sat Oct 30th 2010.

Short Hills Provincial Park Hike 1 The Idea Girl

I usually put these types of videos on my idea girl consulting youtube channel but decided to just upload everything on this one instead.

Hiking in and around the niagara region is one of my favorite activities. I like taking shots of the wild life, flowers and other interesting things we find there. I do photos with music and do film shots. This is me filming our hike with harry and paul into the short hills provicial park in ontario canada.

located in the pelham rd, effingham rd and holland rd area.near st catharines ontario canada. and Howell Family pumpkin farm, white meadows farms and Hernder Estates Winery areas.

there is a waterfall here that runs dry most of the time. there's only water there after a rainfall. lots of trails even for handicapped people with wheel chairs there is a ramp to go down the mountain on here.

a nice place to picnic

i took some photos of the outhouse. It doesn't always have toilet paper. best to bring some just in case. the park closes at dusk. very steep trails, but there's some low lying easy trails for us lazy bones to walk on as well.
There are wild raspberries growing there and we found a trillium flower in the moss. (you are NOT allowed to pick those white flowers they are endagered) I also film all the crazy FINES they have here. Unbelievable how much it costs for doing No, No's! (they are very strict there about stuff)

Its October 5th, 2013 and we are visiting downtown Thorold over the lunch hour. Lots of nice buildings but not the greatest diversity of shopping. Mostly hair salon's and pubs. After this quick stop we are off to Niagara Falls.
