Howling Monkey Adventures in Jaco, Costa Rica
We booked an off road excursion with Brett and Stephanie, the owners of Howling Monkey Adventures in Jaco, Costa Rica. We had an absolute BLAST! We took the road less traveled in Jaco, the dirty one in the drivers seat of a TomCar which is an amazing vehicle that is capable of going anywhere! Our tour guides, Luis and his sweet dog Carnita showed us all the cool spots in Jaco. Spectacular views of the beach and the town of Jaco from Miro Mountain, a beautiful waterfall on private property, incredible scenery and we even stopped at an authentic local restaurant/bar high above Jaco. Definitely our best memories of Jaco!

Monkey Quest In Costa Rica!
We went on vacation to Costa Rica and went on a Monkey Quest where we searched for monkeys! There were baby monkeys, woman monkeys, and man monkeys! These monkeys are called the Howler Monkey they are called that because they do such amazing howls that you would think they are anything BUT a monkey! It is pretty amazing. I got some pretty great footage of the monkeys, and I wanted to share it with you!! ENJOY!!!

Your guests can spot crocodile & scarlet macaws from your balcony, fish for world class Marlin, fly through the jungle canopy on a zip line, relax in a crystal clear waterfall with a glass of wine, mountain bike or ATV through primary forest, or horse back under howling troops of monkeys, all minutes from the Casa del sur front door. Then return for a Pina Colada in our 50 foot infinity pool while watching the most exotic sunsets on earth. Have your own cook prepare your catch of the day or head out to one of a fantastic international collection of local restaurants. Come home for a cognac; some soft jazz, or catch a movie in the media room, before retiring to bed, the sounds of waves far below lulling you to sleep. Southern Costa Rica's Pacific coast is the country's last frontier, still free of crowds of tourists, crime & hassles. No time-share salesmen, no T shirt shops, only friendly locals who go out of their way to welcome you to their Garden of Eden. You can stroll on deserted beaches, take a skiff into the huge mangrove eco-system of the Terraba river to spot some of the 450 types of local birds. We are 5 miles south of the Ballena Ocean Park, & we look out over the northern tip of the Corcovado National Park, the worlds largest Pacific rain forest, home to Jaguars, tapirs, & 7% of all the worlds species. The Casa del sur itself offers a huge dinning room table that seats 16, or several intimate tables under the stars by the pool. There are five bedrooms in the main villa & two more in a separate guest house.

LOMBOK PT.1 - The Way Overland - Episode 19
This week we’re catching a ferry to Lombok.
The ferry was a little different this time from the last 2, certainly a much older boat with no fresh air in the bottom level where the cars and bikes go and also hardly any people on it.
Our first stop on Lombok is Ekas on the southeastern point of the island. Here a man suggested we check out Heaven Beach for somewhere to camp. Sounds pretty good huh?! It sure was a beautiful place to camp for the night, we even had a family of monkey pay us a visit in the morning with one even trying to get in the car! Unfortunately the wind really picked up so we decided to drive to Kuta where there is more to do and hopefully it would be a bit more protected from these howling winds.
The beaches around the Kuta area are just magical; beautiful azure water, white sands and dramatic headlands.
After spending a week relaxing here (and Mark recovering from a bout of food poisoning) we made our way up to Central Lombok to Tetebatu. Here we find a great guesthouse (Haikiki) which is set in the picturesque rice fields with a mesmerizing view up to Rinjani. There’s some beautiful waterfalls in this area, so we decide to base ourselves here for a few days and explore the area.
Thanks to Gun and Rose for letting us camp here for those view days! If you’re thinking of coming to the area, I’d really recommend staying here as it’s one of the most relaxing places to spend a few days. Check out their website:
To finish off our week we drive to Senggigi on the west coast where we’re waiting for our visas to be extended.
Next week we’re visiting the Gili’s and then doing a lap around Rinjani before moving onto Bali.
Thanks for watching! We’d love to hear suggestions of places to visit so feel free to leave us a comment below!

Learning to Dive - Playa Del Coco, Costa Rica Part 1 - Ep. 1
Our first big trip together, we had no real youtube aspirations during this trip but we wanted to sort of document our trip. We are so glad we did as we had so much fun traveling that we are slowly evolving into a couple that wants to really live all of what the world has to offer. Unfortunately that means we didn't really get all the shots I now wish we had haha but thats ok because there are more adventures to come. For our first trip together we set our sites on Costa Rica What a beautiful place and with new flights added we had an easier and less expensive way to get there with Alaska Airlines. I've always wanted to get my dive certification, I have dove many times but just never took the time to actually get certified. So our first stop in Costa Rica was Playa Del Coco or Coco Beach. There was a great Dive shop there that was well priced and even let me do all my book work at home over the internet. You never know how these things are going to go. You can read all of the reviews but its always different in person. To my surprise these guys were professional but not uptight, they knew how to make the learning process very enjoyable. I had a fantastic time Diving and am very excited to now be certified. Dara had gotten her certification some time ago so its nice to be catching up. After leaving Playa Del Coco, we headed up into the mountains of Monteverde to the cloud forest. What a beautiful place but no fear we did more diving once we reached the Atlantic side so stay tuned! Thank you for watching our first video, we appreciate feedback and will continue to improve as we go and as we learn. Subscribe and adventure with us.
