龍虎塔;Long hu ta/Lotus pond 左營 Zuoying

Lotus Pond (Chinese: 蓮池潭; pinyin: Liánchí Tán; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Liân-tî-thâm) is a man-made lake and popular tourist destination on the east side of Zuoying District in Kaohsiung City in southern Taiwan. Opened in 1951, it is famous for the lotus plants on the lake and the numerous temples around the lake, including the Spring and Autumn Pavilions (春秋閣), the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas (龍虎塔), and the Confucian Temple (孔廟).

Lotus Pond was the site for several water sporting events for World Games 2009, including canoe polo, water ski, and dragon boat.

Driving the Fringes of Penghu: Part Three -- Random Amazingness

I know it's shaky, but wait until 1:00 and see what I find in this Tao temple!

Continuing my driving around Penghu Islands, I come across this road leading up to an amazing temple where, inside, there is a coronation happening that I am delighted to happen by. I walk in, film, check out the amazing artistry and carving work on the stone columns outside and am reminded why I love traveling.

Maokong Gondola ticket prices for non-Taipei residents to rise to NT$150

Taipei’s Maokong Gondola may offer beautiful scenery but every year it is incurring losses of up to NT$100 million. The Taipei City Government Department of Transportation plans to hike ticket fares next year, from NT$50 for a single ride to NT$150. However, Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je says the plan has not been finalized and the focus of improving the gondola’s troubled economic state should be developing nearby scenic spots. After years of losses, the city government has come up with a plan to raise ticket prices for the Maokong Gondola, with prices to rise from NT$50 to NT$150 for visitors who are not Taipei residents, elderly or disabled. Ordinary travelers will feel the greatest blow. After the proposed fare hike, the city government estimates that the Maokong Gondola can reduce its losses by NT$50 million annually, but it is also likely to lose around 30 percent of riders. However, the Taipei Rapid Transport Corporation plans to coordinate promotions to retain visitors. Liu Chia-yuTaipei Dept. of Transportation The Taipei Rapid Transport Corporation has quite a lot of room for promotional activities. It can coordinate them with sightseeing activities.Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je says the plan for ticket hikes has not yet been finalized, but the focus of improving the operations of the Maokong Gondola should not be merely be raising ticket prices. It should also be how to integrate the gondola with nearby sightseeing, as well as developing scenic spots to attract more crowds.

影片拍攝地點為美麗果蕃茄昆布鍋物專賣，位於高雄市三民區大昌二路330號(已歇業)，營業時間：平日：AM11:30~PM14:30、PM17:30~PM22:00，供餐至PM21:30，假日：AM11:30~PM22:00，只收現金，套餐的價位劃分為NT$220元、NT$250元、NT$280元、NT$320元，加收10%服務費，套餐：湯頭(任選一)+主餐+鮮蔬野菜盤+副食(任選一)+飲品(任選)+私房甜品。飲品(經典紅茶、冷泡綠茶、冬瓜檸檬、蕃茄檸檬蜜、冰咖啡)可任選口味續杯，共鍋者需加收NT$150元，可抵加點金額(國小以下免收)，個人鍋(單種湯頭)更換為雙湯頭需加收NT$30元。服務人員會把整組調味料送到顧客面前，等客人使用完，調味料會火速收走，除了有醬油及白醋之外，還有蒜末、白蘿蔔泥、洋蔥末、蔥等香辛料可以添加。另提供特調沙茶醬、泰式檸檬醬、芝麻腐乳醬等沾醬。
座落在大昌二路上的美麗果蕃茄昆布鍋物專賣，有著鮮綠色的外觀，店外擺放了幾張桌椅與盆栽。湯頭部分堅持以健康的工法熬煮，每日採用新鮮蕃茄及嚴選自日本北海道昆布、多種蔬果，如高山高麗菜、洋蔥、鳳梨等慢火熬煮數小時，讓食材中自然甘甜與營養充分融入高湯中，過濾後，湯汁呈現清澈的金黃琥珀顏色，味道淡雅清爽，膽固醇比起一般市面上使用的大骨高湯還低，主要湯頭有蕃茄昆布湯、枸杞養生湯，還有其他具有特色的湯頭，可加價更換：法式牛奶湯、蕃茄咖哩湯、蕃茄麻辣湯、酸菜白肉湯、韓式泡菜湯、雪花牛奶湯、味噌豆腐湯。
我們點了低脂香草豬肉套餐NT$320元、精選豬肉套餐NT$220元，另加收10%服務費。蕃茄昆布湯屬於比較清淡的口感，有蕃茄自然的酸甜，枸杞養生湯有較濃的中藥味，食材煮起來會帶有中藥清香的味道。使用瓷碗、瓷盤、不鏽鋼湯匙、玻璃杯，環保又健康。女兒珊珊偏愛有肥有瘦像培根的精選豬肉片，老婆Tina挑了店家推薦的低脂香草豬肉，低脂香草豬肉、精選豬肉的肉片都切的很薄，涮一下就可以吃了，女兒珊珊最喜歡喝冬瓜檸檬，有檸檬的酸，也有冬瓜茶的甜，老婆Tina喜歡喝蕃茄檸檬蜜，都有剛剛好的酸甜，雖然無限量續杯，但濃醇度不減。私房甜品是桂圓銀耳湯，龍眼乾加白木耳，濃稠的湯汁，滿滿的料，豐富的膠原蛋白，甜度適中，為一餐畫下完美句點。
