You know you're at the Stone village when you are surrounded by the overhanging cliffs, high staking platforms and jagged rocks! You can't claim to have come to Zhangjiajie if you don't visit Huangshizhai! Literally meaning stronghold in English, it covers an area of about 16.7 hectares at its top, the rock formations are over 300 million years old!

This is the full ride onboard a mini-train at the Ten-Mile Natural Gallery at the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in China, filmed on 16 Oct 2019.
Exploring Zhangjiajie - Huangshi Village
In this video we arrive in Zhangjiajie city after a bus ride from Fenghuang and then make our way by minibus to Zhangjiajie village where we enter the national park and spend the remainder of the day exploring Huangshi village. Zhangjiajie village and Huangshi village are part of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area which is, confusingly, also known as a national park. Our next video will delve deeper into other areas of the park.

Day 5 of the China trip: Zhangjiajie.
For all the days at Zhangjiajie we are always looking at the same mountain and stone. Nothing different, just the shape of the mountain is different.
1st activity: Catch the sunrise at about 6:30am
2nd activity: Went to a different spot by bus to sightsee the mountains
3rd activity: Went to a small shop in the depths of the mountain to sightsee and also buy some chinese traditional medicine.
4th activity: Went back to eat breakfast and change my clothes as it's getting very hot, and also just nice there is a wedding in the village.
5th activity: Went to shentang gulf
6th activity: Went to dianjang terrace
7th activity: Buffet lunch
8th activity: Went to Tianzi mountain
9th activity: Went to Yangjiajie becuz we missed the timing to catch the sunset.
10th activity: Go back to the village

Our car was driving into the Huangshi Daye Mountain region. We just realized that it was not easy to find the old village as we thought. We had to make a few stops to ask direction. The mountain road is paved and a lot of new beautiful houses are built by the farmers here. These 3 houses belong to 3 brothers and they are also farmers from here.
Finally we arrived Shang Feng village and it is on the top of the mountain.
600 years ago a Feng family moved to this mountain area and established their life. Some of them were rich business men.
In the last 70 years, more than 200 Feng families moved out and lived in the City. Now there are about 180 Feng families still live here.
But how about in the next 10 years?
More and more young people moved to cities and the most of the villages in China will be empty.
我们的汽车驶进了黄石大冶山区, 这才意识到找到这个古村落并没有想象中的那么容易，不得不停车好几次问路。山路是水泥路，路旁兴建了很多漂亮的农家别墅。这三栋别墅属于三兄弟，他们也是这一带的农民。
我们终于到达了上位于山顶的上冯古村。
600年前的元末，冯氏家族迁移到这个山区，并在这里开枝散叶。他们其中有的人成为了富商。
最近的70年里，两百多户离开了山区搬到城里去生活。现在山上只剩下180户。
可下一个10年又将会是怎样呢？
越来越多的农村年轻人搬到了城里去住，中国大部分的农村将会空置下来。

Situated in the centre of China, Huangshizhai Tourist Park is classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The POMA gondola lift carries passengers through dream-like landscapes amidst mist-shrouded rocky crags. These surroundings inspired filmmaker James Cameron for the sets of his film Avatar.
In the face of the huge success of this park, the owners asked POMA to replace the aerial tram with a gondola lift to triple the transport capacity. Henceforth passengers enjoy exceptional comfort and vision, with Diamond-8 panoramic cabins, specially equipped with transparent glass floors, offering breath-taking views of incredible landscapes.

-SITE INTEGRATION: the integrated low line between the various rock eye bolts minimizes the visual impact of the structures.

Situé au centre de la Chine, Huangshizhai est un parc touristique classé par l'UNESCO.
Les télécabines POMA transportent les touristes au cœur d'un paysage de rêve avec des pitons de rochers un peu mystérieux qui émergent des brumes. Ce paysage a inspiré le cinéaste James Cameron pour les décors de son film Avatar.
Le site, connaissant un immense succès, les propriétaires du parc ont demandé à POMA de remplacer l'ancien téléphérique par une télécabine afin de tripler le débit. Les passagers profitent désormais d'un confort et d'une vision exceptionnelle, grâce aux cabines panoramiques Diamond 8, spécialement équipées de planchers en verre transparent, offrant ainsi une vue vertigineuse sur des paysages incroyables.
