Lots of town centre shops are open as well as Queensgate Market. Its Upmarket Sundays at Brook Street Market and the Alternative Youth Market on New Street, plus FREE parking a day in the multi-storey Market Hall car park.
Dramatic moment armed police tackle gang with knives and SHOTGUN
CCTV picked up the gang as they were given the fearsome weapon from contacts in a BMW in the Castle Vale area of Birmingham last year. Armed police flooded the area and, as filmed by officers' body-cameras, they forced two of the gang onto the ground and caught another as he tried to climb over a fence. The sawn-off shotgun, which police say could have further fuelled the city's spiralling violence, was found hidden behind a wheelie bin nearby.

In conversation with...Thai cave diving rescue hero, Huddersfield-born Jason Mallinson
Jason Mallinson was one of the British cave divers flown in to save the Wild Boars football team and their coach, who were trapped in Thailand’s Tham Luang Nang Non Caves in 2018. Here, Jason talks about how he got into cave diving, feeling claustrophobic and his world record for the deepest cave dive in Pozo Azul.
Jason was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate of the University for services to cave diving exploration and rescue. Read the full story:
