We hear some true stories with people who told us how they got to this region, and why they were there. This is a special piece of China, and it only gets better in later episodes!

Heavy Snow Hits Hulunbuir City in north China
A cold wave swept across Hulunbuir City in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Wednesday, causing snow and drops in temperature.
Heavy snow beginning at 13:00 limited visibility to less than 50 meters.
Slippery roads as a result of the weather impeded pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
Meanwhile, a section of the G10 expressway from Hailar District to Arun Banner was closed at 15: 10 due to the snow.
Passenger coach services were also suspended by authorities at 14: 45.
Local weather authorities issued a blue alert (the lowest in China’s four-tier color coded alert system) for heavy snow earlier in the morning, saying that the snow will last till Friday, as well as lower the temperature by about eight degrees Celsius in the region.

On a little adventure, I took my Kawasaki ZRX 1200r out for a spin, only to find an entire town dedicated to different religions. I was surrounded by mosques, temples, churches. You name it, it was there. Also, there were mud huts, but across the street was a very wealthy replica village of the Qing dynasty. weird...

Looking China: Grasslands
Looking China is a short film series made by a group of young film directors from over 20 countries. They traveled to various places across China, making films and exploring Chinese culture with the help of students from local universities.
Nadan Pines, director of the film “Grasslands”, comes from Tel Aviv University in Israel. As a youngster, he was so curious about the spirits of Mongolian culture that he traveled thousands of miles to the boundless rich grassland to explore its true essence.
The film is made up of nine chapters: You, History, Chase, Nomads, Home, Sand, Music, Change and Grasslands. Actor-director Pines explores Mongolian culture and the legend of Genghis Khan in the film.
Genghis Khan was proclaimed the Supreme Khan of the Mongols as he came to power by uniting many of the nomadic tribes living in the Mongolian grasslands and founded the empire.
