Hussaini Suspension Bridge, The World's Most Dangerous Bridge in Pakistan.
Testing my nerves at the Hussaini Hanging Bridge at Hussaini Village situated in Hunza Valley (Gojal, Upper Hunza).
Hussaini suspension bridge crosses the lake Borit upstream of Hunza river in northern Pakistan. A 2,600 m altitude, in the region of Gilgit-Baltistan is the world's most dangerous bridge. It is an important point of connection of the routes that go to the north of the country, belongs to the people of Pasu and other neighboring villages and ends at the lake itself in Giglit-Baltistan. Since 1978 is relatively isolated by the lack of roads and infrastructure, the only possible way is through the mountains to Rawalpindi, or traffic of aircraft but only for the richest people, Internal insulation between regions is offset by the construction of the Karakoram Highway, which crosses the region from outside. The view from the Hussaini-Borit Lake Bridge is picturesque, not to mention precarious and potentially lethal.
It is very dangerous to cross the Borit Lake and rapidly flowing Hunza River is particularly frightening, reason for being named world’s most dangerous suspension bridge and also world's most attractive bridge. Hussaini Bridge is also one of the most Oldest Bridge of Pakistan.
The truly death-defying thrills and fears associated with crossing this bridge where sudden gusts of winds can hit travelers off their feet to face to face with death. Despite its dangerous looks, however, the Hussaini is is a relatively safe bridge and has become something of a tourist draw, with hikers testing their nerves as they carefully work their way across.

Hussaini Hanging Bridge | Hussainabad | Gojal | HUnza | Pakistan
So, I started the day early at Fajr. I walked for around 40 kms, rest hitch-hiked till Passu. Touched all those points which were planned for the day. Still, two hours were left for Maghrib, I was fasting and it was the last day of Ramadan.
So, just to pass time, I planned to cross Hussaini Hanging Bridge once again. It was pretty exciting, just like four years back, when I came to Hunza for the first time.
I almost died inside at HUSSAINI Suspension Bridge - day 6
so here is what happened to me at Hussaini Bridge for the very 1st time it felt like something i had never experienced ever before as it was a complete illusion but before i got back to where i started i found out the solution to cross it and felt pretty normal
hope u guys will find it interesting
do let me know how can i improve all this and where do u want me to go next

Hussaini Hanging Bridge || Hunza || Gilgit Baltistan
Erum Khan -ISLAMABAD
Hussaini Hanging Bridge is a relatively new addition to the attractions of Hunza. The community has constructed it after a flood washed away their old bridge. The bridge is on Hunza River once you pass the Gulmit village. A parking area is available on the main KKH and there are big posters/signs so you can’t miss it. To reach the bridge you have to walk 15-20 minutes downhill. Community is charging Rs.50 for crossing the bridge. The amount charged will be utilized for maintenance of the bridge.
Bridge is long and it hangs high above the extremely wide and raging Hunza River it becomes really scary when it sways in the wind or when locals are crossing/running on it. The Planks are equally placed so once you get hang of it, it is not very difficult to cross but since the bridge is a bit wide so you cant hold rope from both sides. It is not recommended for children, as there are no security measures and no life jackets or lifeguards.
Once you are through with the bridge reaching back the parking area is challenging as the way back is steep and have to take shot water breaks.
It is really difficult to take pictures while you are the bridge because you are scared that you might drop your cell phone into the river and it is extremely difficult and dangerous to take picuters with one hand with a proper camera. :(
Bridges of the Northern Areas, Pakistan
Pakistan zindabad! Even crossing a simple bridge can be an adventure in the Northern Areas of Pakistan.
daring. Hussaini Hanging Bridge
The Hussaini Suspension Bridge, over the Hunza River, connects Zarabad hamlet to Hussaini village. Hussaini is located at about 45 kms from Aliabad Hunza and 132 kms from Gilgit.
This bridge is known as a dangerous bridge due to the massive gaps between the planks and the wild swing.
In 1960, President of Pakistan Ayub Khan visited Zarabad for hunting purpose and directed the authorities to construct a suspension bridge which was finally completed in 1967-68.

Walking the World's Most DANGEROUS Bridge in Pakistan
The Hussaini hanging bridge in Hunza Valley Pakistan is known as one of the most dangerous in the world. In this travel vlog, we walk across it (carefully) and talk to some local Pakistani people along the way.
In the small town of Passu Cones, in the Gojal region of Northern Pakistan lies a suspension bridge unlike any other. Built by local farmers, the purpose of the bridge over the Hunza river is to keep their livestock away from their crops. I'm not sure if it's by design that this bridge has more empty space than wood, but it takes some serious nerves to walk across it.
No safety harnesses, no guidance. It's become a bit of a tourist attraction for people traveling through the Hunza valley in Gilgit Baltistan. It's a suspension bridge attached by cables bolted into the towering mountains on either side. It's a adventure I recommend to everyone, just watch your step.
Pakistan tourism is on the rise. It's often called a dangerous place to travel. Our purpose was to spend our time, as foreigners in Pakistan to disprove this, and show the beauty of the people and the landscape to the world. CPIC Global sponsored out trip, but we did so without any security or military escorts. The only trouble we got into was bumpy roads.
While normally I solo travel, I was excited to have so many friends on the trip. Siya Zarabi from Hopscotch the Globe, Lexie Alford from Lexie Limitless, Ryan Riel from Opposite Travellers, Anushae Khan, Brooke Saward, and Alexandrina Cojocaru.

Hussaini Bridge got my nerves. Its hung by only 6 cables from one side to another. Massive gap between the wooden planks, some are even missing. I would love to cross it & feel the lively experience, but it has been blocked for public due to its extreme conditions.
