5. Bonnie Parker and Blanche Barrow: The Bluest Shot-At Eyes in Texas
Bonnie Parker Thornton and Blanche Caldwell Callaway were two despondent flappers at the close of the 1920s. In fact, the popular 1929 song “Am I Blue?” could have been written for them. But in 1930, at the start of the U.S.’s Great Depression, they met two brothers, Clyde and Buck, who were known as the ‘Barrow Gang.’ Somehow, these two petty criminals and ex-cons won the hearts of Bonnie and Blanche to the extent that neither woman would desert them, even when the Barrow brothers’ violent deaths were inevitable and their own lives were in danger. This episode presents the details of their hardscrabble lives before, during, and–in Blanche’s case–after voluntarily becoming road-mates with the men who eventually became murderers and the subjects of one of the largest manhunts of the 1930s. Bonnie and Blanche were at once tough and vulnerable, glamorous and unsophisticated, self-centered and utterly devoted to others.

Jeff here, and welcome to my world, Mr JD's World ????.
I live a nomadic RV life in my vintage Class C Motorhome. I live with two cats, Nibbler, and his little sister, Spooky. Their birthday is July 4, 2006.
I mix it up by traveling alone, in a caravan, or with a nomadic tribe. I might boondock for long periods of time in one location or scat across the country with little planning. I might tour landmarks and monuments, or go to local or cultural exhibits or events. And then again, I might just take time out for myself.
I create and post my videos as a journal of my nomadic life. A journal I manage so family and friends can witness some of my days out here, wherever it is that I am. This is not a job and I'll not let it become one.
I hope you enjoy this video along with the other videos on my channel. And if you do, don't hesitate to like, comment, share, and subscribe.
Please Enjoy!

Saints Cyril and Methodius Church, Shiner, TX
Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Shiner, Texas. This is our first stop on the Texas Painted Church tour. Beautiful church with a rich history.
Father Wolf and architect E. Wahrenberger supervised the construction contractors as Vincent Falbo and M. Deodati of San Antonio began building one of the most magnificent Gothic structures between San Antonio and Houston. The cornerstone was laid in 1920, and the present church was blessed by Bishop Drossaerts on July 7, 1921.
Well worth the drive to see it.

Classy Mississippi/Texas Wedding
Steven & Kelsey - Highlight | Tupelo, MS
“Who knew that a girl from Mississippi had to go all the way to Texas to find a husband. Who knew that out of all the girls in Texas, Steven had to go to Mississippi to find one worthy of his heart.” They say that distance makes the heart grow fonder, and for Steven and Kelsey, they wouldn’t let a few states stand in the way of their true love for one another.
On their wedding day, Kelsey looked stunning in her intricately crafted wedding gown designed by Willow Bride. Steven’s classic blue tuxedo was crowned with stylish diamond cuff links and buttons. The Historic First United Methodist Church in Tupelo never looked and sounded so beautiful during the ceremony. With gorgeous greenery hanging from the columns, lovely scented flowers draped from several pews, and the choir proceeding down the aisle singing “This is the Day”, everyone there enjoyed all their senses being involved.
Steven and Kelsey drove to the reception in an old fashioned car greeted by a stunningly decorated Cotton Mill. Thanks to Memphis Soul Revue, everyone danced the night away enjoying the company, the cakes, and the celebration. Steven and Kelsey were married on February 16, 2019 at First United Methodist in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Port Arthur restaurant owner hopes for success at his Taste of the Triangle debut
JEFFERSON COUNTY - By Megan Dillard - It's a southeast Texas tradition many people have developed a hunger for through the years. Tonight marked the 30th annual Taste of the Triangle celebration at Ford Park. The Fat Tuesday tradition goes hand in hand with Mardi Gras. Food, live music, and more than 60 booths hosted by vendors from across the Golden Triangle. For $20 people walked around and sampled food and drinks. The Sabine Area Restaurant Association hosts the event. The money raised goes to area charities and Lamar University scholarships. There were many vendors tonight, representing a wide range of food and restaurant concepts. From big chains to mom-and-pop places, each business was proud to showcase its products. KFDM met with the owners of a new restaurant earlier today, to find out how the small Port Arthur crew was gearing up for its Taste of the Triangle debut. Daily menu items here at Ichiban Hibachi in Port Arthur. But today, Larry Gumelar prepared this culinary tour of Asia for the Taste of the Triangle. It's really great for a restaurant owner's business because it can really be helpful to improve and to show them the experience and knowledge about food. Gumelar and his wife Nancy took over the restaurant less than a year ago after the pair moved here from New York. I think it's the classic reasons. Everybody wants a better life. The Indonesian couple works hard to grow the family business. We would never know if we didn't try. I'm really confident what we sell, our products, people can still afford it. Several hours of preparation, one dish at a time, the group loaded up, and headed to Ford Park. Ichiban Hibachi quickly became a popular stop. While the group served up one spoonful at a time, a small crowd formed at their booth. The food went quickly. No you can't run out! Exactly the type of success Gumelar hopes will drive people back to his restaurant. I'm confident that I will make it here and I will stand to serve people better in southern Texas. Ichiban Hibachi was just one of dozens of restaurants represented tonight. There was a wide variety of food: everything from gumbo to frozen yogurt to popcorn. Organizers honored radio personality Al Caldwell tonight. He has been the master of ceremonies for the event each year since it started. The money raised goes to several places including not-for-profits, animals for the YMBL South Texas State Fair, and culinary scholarships at Lamar University.
