台糖 虎尾糖廠 Taiwan Sugar Corporation Huwei Factory

台湾/雲林縣に位置する台湾糖業(台湾製糖)虎尾糖廠。
原材料のサトウキビを輸送するナローゲージ鉄道が現役で活躍する、台湾最後の路線となってしまいました。毎年存続が危ぶまれていますが、2014年12月〜2015年3月のシーズンも無事その姿を見ることができました。

【虎尾糖廠鐵橋】，又稱【虎尾鐵橋】，舊名番薯莊板仔橋，是一座鋼結構桁架橋梁，於台灣日治時期興建，為雲林縣縣定古蹟。目前屬於台灣糖業公司，作為糖業鐵路。

　　台灣糖業歷史已經超過100年，多少人的回憶與糖業相伴一起，就連我...也是。繼第一部台灣糖鐵影片公開播映，緊接著推出台灣糖鐵第二部影像集。第二部「虎尾糖廠‧午後印象」內容以虎尾糖廠列車作業為主，另收錄了糖廠資產（同心鐵道公園日本百年員工宿舍與蒸汽火車頭SL11號機）。列車作業包含了甘蔗輸送與糖包成品牽引，也能見到糖廠作業人員的工作過程是難得一見的珍貴影像。現今台灣僅存糖業原料運輸鐵道線「馬公厝線」，希望能永久保存。

　　製作「虎尾糖廠‧午後印象」彷彿穿越了時空，剎那間勾起我許多回憶。雖然記憶中景色不再卻能安然的細細回味。許多的「老故事」也許成了歷史學家筆下的一段文字，但是對我而言「老故事」不一定要有所考證，因為從年長者「口傳」的一篇篇言談間更多了幾分親切與憾動。

Taiwan - Hualien County - Hualien Sugar Factory

Next to the Hualien Sugar Factory are Japanese-style bungalows, organized in neat rows. Large-scale Japanese-style buildings like these are very rare in Taiwan. These residences, made of Chinese cypress, were built for the factory employees during the Japanese occupation. For many, these well-preserved old buildings create feelings of nostalgia.

Taiwan Sugar Railway Locomotives

These little narrow gauge engines are from the Taiwan Sugar Railway. Their duty was to deliver the sugar canes to the factory and took it to the markets for sale, including their sugars. Some of them were built in Japan, Germany, Belgium, and Taiwan. The people of Taiwan built their very own steam locomotives by learning from the engineers and the machinist from Japan. Three months after they left Taiwan, they came back to Taiwan and told them that they were so proud of Taiwan. Their factories, railways, and some other things were constructed by the Japanese. Thanks to them! If there hadn't been their help, it wouldn't be like today.

橋頭糖廠(台湾糖業博物館）に行きましたin台湾高雄☆ゆうり３歳　Taiwan Sugar Museum

この製糖工場跡は、いまは古跡に指定され観光地となっています。エリア内には数々の建築物や展示物があるのですが、中でもおススメは、当時サトウキビ等を運搬していたトロッコディーゼル機関車です。自由に乗って遊ぶことができるので、子供たちにも人気です。2014.12.7撮影。
The museum building dates back to the Japanese rule of Taiwan. At that time, the place was operated as a sugar refinery.

アクセス：高雄MRT「橋頭糖廠站」下車。駅を出て左手のほうに遊歩道をまっすぐ行くと着きます。
