If you love eating street food around the world and tons of street food in India, and also all over Asia, you will definitely love the amazing street food of Hyderabad, India. You can really find street food everywhere, where all the locals like to cook delicious Indian recipes for curry and spicy dishes all over the street. Without a doubt, my favourite part of Hyderabad is visiting during Ramadan, when the locals fast during the day, and then have delicious halal food at night to break the fast. it was an insanely cool experience!

In one day, we ate 8 delicious street foods all made in Lucknow style with tons of meat and spice. We had amazing curry on the street, some of the BEST Street Food in India!
We went for a full-on, DEEP street food tour in Lucknow, India, to try some of the best street food in India with Delhi Food Walks, who takes travellers for street food tours of Delhi, India.

The diamond industry may have moved on, but the pearl trade is still alive and well giving the city its moniker The City of Pearls, attracting buyers from around the world.

Since arriving in Hyderabad 13 years ago Jonty decided to set up her own business taking people to the true heart of the city, and a place where most travelers never get to visit - the authentic Indian kitchen. Hyderabad has a ton of amazing Indian street food. Eating it is extremely satisfying and delicious. We flew in to Hyderabad to travel and specifically try and eat all of the best street food we could find. During Ramzan (Ramadan), there is a lot of special street food on offer that is really satisfying to watch being made. Today, we're getting into the back kitchen of a MONSTER dosa restaurant, and also watching the recipe for Hyderabadi biryani all being made from scratch. Indian cooking is some of the best in the world, and we came here to try it out.

The huge volume of spices will make your taste buds come alive, with tons of chili, turmeric, cinnamon, garlic, and more, all in the local masalas that are worth flying here for!

SWEET & SAVORY Indian STREET FOOD Tour of Charminar | Hyderabad, India

In November of 2018, I embarked upon the most epic trip of my career: a 21-day, 7-city trip to India with my good friend Sam. It was the second time that year that I visited the country. The first was in January, and it changed my life. For months I dreamed of going back and experiencing more of this incredible country, and I finally made it happen! After a whirlwind 36 hours in Pune, we made our way to Hyderabad and went crazy, filming, eating, and experiencing as much as we possibly could!

Our second day in Hyderabad continued with a visit to the city’s Old Town, which includes the famous monument and mosque known as Charminar, and of course, more local eateries! Come along with us as we explore the Old Town of Hyderabad!

Sam and I started off with a stop at Nimrah Café and Bakery, a popular spot that is famous for its tea and biscuits. We watched the bakers make the biscuits in the kitchen, and then tried a massive tray filled with 25 different types, including Osmania, coconut with cherry, and chocolate-cashew. The coconut with cherry was rich and sweet and packed with shredded coconut. The chocolate-cashew was flaky and crumbly and just plain phenomenal, and I also had an awesome sugar sandwich cookie with cream and lemon, and that’s coming from someone who isn’t a big biscuit fan!

Next, we tried Nimrah’s famous Irani Chai, which was milky, frothy, and bursting with amazing flavors including ginger and cinnamon. The biscuits were even better when I dipped them into the chai.

Our next destination was Charminar (which translates to “four minarets,” after the monument’s four ornate towers, which are supported by four grand arches), a monument and mosque that was built in 1591 and is listed as an archaeological and architectural treasure by the Archaeological Survey of India. It cost us 300 rupees, over ten times the rate for locals, to get into Charminar, but after we slowly ascended the narrow, winding staircase and emerged onto a balcony overlooking the city, it was worth it. From there, we had a spectacular view of much of the city, including the gates that served as the entrance to the Old City. The architecture was gorgeous!

After a quick selfie with a fan at Charminar, it was off to Milan Juice Centre for some juices and fruit salad so we could cool down from the 95-degree heat! I had a drink called a Mango Malai, which is a super fatty smoothie made from heated whole milk and yogurt. It was very rich, but also very good and just what I needed to cool off!

Our next stop was Al-Akbar Fast Food Corner, where we tried boneless Chicken 65 and ginger chicken along with some parathas. The chicken 65 was kind of like masala chicken nuggets. It was chewy with a slightly crunchy exterior, and I absolutely loved the masala flavor! The ginger chicken was bursting with ginger flavor, had an orange-ginger sauce on it. It was hot, super tender, and absolutely delicious, and the paratha was out of this world when I dipped it into the spicy orange-ginger sauce!

Our final stop of the afternoon was Matwale Doodh Ghar, where we got some lassi, a creamy, traditional Indian yogurt drink, which was the perfect way to cool down my mouth after that spicy chicken and from the heat outside! On our way there, Sam and I got a complete sensory overload as we strolled down the streets of Old Hyderabad in the shadow of Charminar. There are tons of vendors everywhere, the city is so busy, and there’s always tons of things going on around you.

My lassi was super thick and creamy, almost like a chunky yogurt with a bit of raspberry. It was so refreshing and exactly what I needed after a long afternoon under the hot Indian sun!

BEST BIRYANI in Hyderabad, India | Hyderabadi Indian Food Review Travel Video Transcript:

Greetings guys from Hyderabad, India. And tonight we're going to be having Biryani which is a local specialty of this city. We're going to be trying it out at Paradise restaurant. They have multiple different kinds of variations. I think we're going to try as many as four. Let's go inside and check it out.

So guys now we're in the restaurant I'm going to explain to you about Biryani rice. The first layer is saffron rice then we have exotic masala rice in the middle and then you've got heavenly mutton at the bottom. Now there are a number of different variations as well.

So mutton is the most common and famous one, especially from this city. But you can also have it with chicken, different kinds of meat. You can also have it with fish, shrimp or you can do it vegetarian style.

So now I'm going to tell you a little bit more about the history of Biryani. Biryani is an Urdu word from the Persian language. It means to fry or roast rice. It is more popular in South India because this region consumes more rice.

Mutton lamb. Thank you. Sir this is veg biryani. Veg. Thank you. And that is egg. Egg biryani. Wonderful.

Thank you. This one is the chicken. Yes, chicken. Oh wonderful. Thank you. That is enough. Hahaha.

He is just going all out. Hahaha. I know. I love. You've gotta love the portions man. They are very generous here.

Alright so I'm so excited to try the biryani. Like I've just been thinking about this all day long. For this to be the city's most famous dish and not only that but for this place to be considered one of the best places to have it.

So it is a Qubani ka Meetha it is an authentic Hyderabadi sweet with stewed apricots. So if you take a look here you can see all of the stewed apricots in here.

And they asked me if I wanted a scoop of vanilla ice cream and I'm like yeah of course.

The lassi itself is kind of like a yogurt-based drink. It is very rich. Well I shouldn't be talking about until I actually try this one.

Woah. It is one of the best lassi's I've had ever.

Sweet. It is thick. It is kind of creamy. It is very filling too. It is like a meal in a glass.

Just been working on that lassi. It is so good. What a great way to end a wonderful meal.

Briyani here were incredible. We tried 4 different ones. Mutton. Chicken. Veg. Egg.

The mutton and the veg were by far the best. Absolutely loved it. So if you're coming to this city you have to come to Paradise restaurant to try all of these. Man it is just so good. I can't recommend it highly enough.

With bamboo houses, Hyderabad couple shows the way for eco-friendly living - ANI News

Hyderabad (Telangana), May 10 (ANI): An entrepreneur couple in Hyderabad city is promoting sustainable living by constructing eco-friendly bamboo houses. Prashant Lingam and his wife Aruna, brains behind Bamboo House, have completed over 150 projects in over five years, constructing houses completely made of bamboo plant to promote green livelihood. Talking about their journey, Prashant said it was hunt for a eco-friendly furniture that took them to a small village of Katlamara in Tripura on the Indo-Bangladesh border, from where they got the idea of using the plant to make houses and hence Bamboo House India was born. The couple is ready to roll out another new project with the launch of bamboo bicycle as a substitute for the metal bicycle.
