The Jewish Quarter | Jerusalem, Israel 2018
Come travel with me to Jerusalem, Israel. This 2nd part video from the Holy Land showcases the beauty and breathtaking sites we witnessed as well as the emotional side to it. My intention in recording the Holy Land was for my Grandmother to see after coming back from Germany. Unfortunately, my Grandmother passed away on our way back home and never got the opportunity to see and hear of our adventures. With so much thought, I am slowly working my way into editing these clips for others to enjoy.
Please feel free to leave any questions or comments below as my sister & I plan on making a video answering any questions people may have regarding our trip or planning a trip to Israel.
Stay Tuned....

We are also going to visit the cells of the two thieves that were crucified next to Jesus as well as the cell of Barabbas whom Pontius Pilate freed at the Passover feast in Jerusalem, while keeping Jesus as a prisoner.

Walking In the Footsteps of Jesus Tour in Jerusalem - The Via Dolorosa
Zahi Shaked A tour guide in Israel and his camera zahigo25@walla.com +972-54-6905522 tel סיור עם מורה הדרך ומדריך הטיולים צחי שקד 0546905522
My name is Zahi Shaked
In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.
In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

Travel Israel - Tour Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem
Take a tour of Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, Israel -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions series by GeoBeats.
Hi, I am Naomi and I am very excited to show you the world's greatest attractions.
The Dome of the Rock stands on the Temple Mount, one of the world's holiest sites.
Also nearby is the Western or Wailing Wall, where Jews pray towards the Mount.
The Dome of the Rock itself is a shrine for Muslims.
Muslims see this place as the location of Mohammed's ascension to Heaven.
In the Jewish faith, the Temple Mount was the sight of the Holy Temple.
Christians revere it as one of Jesus' place of teaching as well as a Jewish holy site.
The remarkably well preserved Dome of the Rock has stood here since 691.
The shrine is covered in brightly covered tiles, and the Dome itself is gold plated.
This beautiful and sacred place is visible throughout the entire city of Jerusalem.
Thank you for watching our travel video series. See you next time.

LYRICS:
John saw a city that could not be hidden
John saw the city, oh yes he did
John caught a glimpse of the golden throne
Tell me all about it, go right on
Around the throne he saw the crystal sea
There's got to be more, what will it be
I want to go, to that city he saw
New Jerusalem
Jerusalem
I want to walk your streets that are golden
And I want to run where the angels have trod
Jerusalem
I want to rest on the banks of your river
In that city, the city of God
John saw the lion lay down by the lamb
I want to know everything about that land
John saw the day but he did not see night
The lamb of God well, he must be the light
And he saw the saints worship the great I am
Crying worthy, worthy is the lamb
I want to go to that city he saw
New Jerusalem
Jerusalem, Jerusalem
Sing for the night is over
Hosanna in the highest
Hosanna forever
Forever more
Jerusalem
I want to walk your streets that are golden
And I want to run where the angels have trod
Jerusalem
I want to rest on the banks of your river
In that city, the city of God
The city of God
Jerusalem, Jerusalem
The city of God, is the city of God

The Ultimate JERUSALEM FOOD | Kurdish Syrian Street Food in JERUSALEM ISRAEL + BEST SHAMBURAK
???? Vegan Food Tour -
???? Merch -
???? Tiktok -
Transcript:
This is Jerusalem, Israel.
One of the oldest most cosmic cities in the world, and also one of the world's most famous food towns.
This time I am visiting Ishtabach - a name that combines two Hebrew words - man and cook.
This Syrian kurdish restaurant is located in the Mahane Yehuda market, at Hashikma 1 street, and it serves very unique pastries, that are filled with crazy meat fillings, and are baked inside a Tabun oven (which is a clay oven).
Oren Sasson Levi decided to open this restaurant during rehabilitation period (he survived a horrible medical condition).
In this restaurant he serves food that he grew up with (his grandmother's food), and he focuses on one traditional food item - Shamburak that actually looks very much like a sambusac.
The shape of the Shamburk resembles a boat, but inside this dough boat you will not find a person but rather different meat fillings such as asado, cheek meat, tongue meat, and even head meat.
The dough is made from flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and cold water, and it slowly raises
To the dough oren adds Indian puree (made from Mustard seeds), coriander, curry, and turmeric.
The meat that Oren puts inside the dough is cooked for almost 20 hours (on average).
In addition to the meat, Oren also adds lemon, parsley, coriander, garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, sweet chili, and fried onion
This Shamburk sounds interesting right?
Speaking of the word Shamburk, I am sensing that Oren really likes to combine words together, because even the name Shamburak is a twist on two Hebrew words (Sham and Mburah - sham means name and also god, and mburah means blessed).
The restaurant was a dream of Oren. He wanted to have a restaurant where he can serve kurdish dishes that he grew up with in Jerusalem.
So in 2014, with the help of friends, he opened this restaurant that has become a huge success.
Those beautiful stuffed shamburaks were out of this world. I really liked the combination of dough, meat, mashed potato, onions and herbs.
The pastry was crispy, and the meat was juicy, tasty and tender.
If you are a meat lover that loves great atmosphere, then this is the place that you want to go, and if you are coming with a friend who loves vegetarian food then tell him / her that there is also a vegetarian dish on the menu.
This is the first time that I am eating a Shamburak, and it is the first time that I am eating crazy fillings like check, tounge, head, and they were all delicious.
What a Splendid place!

Authentisches Roadmovie der 70er Jahre

Ein Deutscher findet in Israel zu sich selbst
From Kingdom of Heaven Film 2005- Baldwin IV of Jerusalem and Saladin
This reminds me of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict of sorts where you have both sides that believe in God but are battling for the control of one city, despite the fact that they both profess to believing in God.This film is all about faith and humanity.Baldwin IV (Ed Norton) is the true hero of the film: a gifted, noble and courageous 24-year-old, dying of leprosy. Even finally seeing the ghastly disfigurement behind his serene silver mask does not erase the viewer's perception of his real beauty: his character. The true extent of his disability is played down, however: in his last years, he was blind and crippled, but still went on campaign in a litter, tended by his mother. Also, he is portrayed as essentially peace-loving; in fact, he was a hard-fighting Angevin warrior-king, Henry II's first cousin.Saladin (Ghassan Massoud) also lives up to expectations: brave, tough, charismatic, and shrewd. It is good to see him played by a Middle-Eastern actor, not - as in previous Crusade films - a Western actor in brown make-up, but his ruthlessness is played down. He would have invaded with or without provocation.

Israel Remembrance Day, Yom Hazikaron, 2016 - 11 am, Jerusalem Shuk
The Day of Remembrance for the Fallen Soldiers of Israel and Victims of Terrorism is Israel's official remembrance day. Traditionally dedicated to Israel's fallen soldiers (23,477 to date), commemoration of Yom Hazikaron has also been extended to civilian victims of terror. I shot this at 11 am at Mahane Yehuda where people mostly stood at attention for the duration of the 2 minute siren. This siren sounds across the country and as you can see, people stop and remember friends, colleagues, family and loved ones who passed on for the sake of the country. It's really touching.
