Tirana Albanian Nightlife... + American speaking Albanian! (Tirana Travel Guide)
Albanian rivera travel guide on my blog:

Hello guys! I'm an American girl named Nwando. Welcome to my Tirana vlog / diary. I hope this Tirana vlog can help guide your travel!
Besides the Tirana nightlife experience, I didn't really do anything in Tirana! It was just 2 days of chilling honestly. I just wanted to check out the nightlife in Tirana and relax because by the time I arrived in Tirana, I had already been to Norway, Greece, and 2 cities in southern Albania in a matter of 5 days! So I was really exhausted honestly. So yeah, I didn't really do anything. I had plans to visit nearby Kruja/Krujë and I really wanted to make a Kruja vlog, but I was just soo tired and decided to just relax in Tirana and do nothing honestly.
I arrived in Tirana from Dhermi and it took about 4 hours. I took an 8 am bus so I arrived around 12pm.
Even though I did not do much in Tirana, you should know that there is stuff to do in Tirana. Many of the people I met at my hostel went on a tour of the city to see sites relevant to Tirana's communist past. One of the main attractions in Tirana is visiting a huge bunker built by the communist dictator Enver Hoxha. When I go back to Tirana, I definitely plan to see more of these things.
And the last thing I want to say is... because everyone asks me, but there is no problem being black in Albania as a traveler. I have experienced ZERO racism in Albania. The Balkans is the most friendly place I have ever traveled to and a traveler being black in Albania is not an issue AT ALL. VISIT ALBANIA!!! :)

Albania-Tirana
Albania officially known as the Republic of Albania (Albanian: Republika e Shqipërisë pronounced Albanian pronunciation: is a country in Southeastern Europe. It is bordered by Montenegro to the northwest, Kosovo (Disputed) to the northeast, Macedonia to the east and Greece to the south and southeast. It has a coast on the Adriatic Sea to the west, and on the Ionian Sea to the southwest. It is less than 72 km (45 mi) from Italy, across the Strait of Otranto which links the Adriatic Sea to the Ionian Sea.
Albania is a member of the UN, NATO, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Council of Europe, World Trade Organisation, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and one of the founding members of the Union for the Mediterranean. Albania has been a potential candidate for accession to the European Union since January 2003, and it formally applied for EU membership on 28 April 2009.
The modern-day territory of Albania was at various points in history part of the Roman provinces of Dalmatia (southern Illyricum), Macedonia (particularly Epirus Nova), and Moesia Superior. The modern Republic became independent after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire in Europe following the Balkan Wars. Albanians had for almost five centuries been at the heart of a sprawling empire in which they enjoyed a privileged position as administrators and generals and in the diffusion of Ottoman culture throughout the European, Arabian and African continents.[8] Albania declared independence in 1912 (to be recognised in 1913), becoming a Principality, Republic, and Kingdom until being invaded, during World War II, by Fascist Italy in 1939, and invaded again by Nazi Germany in 1943. In 1944, a socialist People's Republic was established under the leadership of Enver Hoxha and the Party of Labour. In 1991, the Socialist republic was dissolved and the Republic of Albania was established.
Albania is a parliamentary democracy with a transition economy. The Albanian capital, Tirana, is home to 421,286 of the country's 2,831,741 people. Free-market reforms have opened the country to foreign investment, especially in the development of energy and transportation infrastructure. Albania was chosen as the No.1 Destination in Lonely Planet's list of ten top countries to visit for 2011.

ALBANIA ????????Food & First Impressions | Tirana Food Tour & Travel Vlog
Welcome to Albania! In our first vlog we explore Tirana with Albanian Food Tours to taste some local cuisine and share...⬇ More Below ✈ Our 220 page guide on how to travel non-stop —
We can tell you off the bat, Albania is absolutely epic! Before we chat about the country, in our first vlog we take a food tour in Tirana to get a feel for Albanian cuisine and to get situated in Tirana itself. Check out Albanian Food Tours here, and say hi to Linda from us and that you watched this video!
Albanian cuisine is pretty unique, clearly delicious as well, taking inspiration from a lot of similar known balkan tastes but with it's own special twists. As you'll see in the video, we really enjoyed all the food we tried and Albanian Food Tours actually took us to more places than we showed - in one video there's only so many meals you can share! The video probably only covers half of the full Tirana tour typically on offer, as I mentioned at the end of this vlog.
In terms of the country - Albania is seriously underrated and very, very cool. We've got 5 more videos to come from our travel in Albania to prove it to you! In the meantime, have a read of our travel guide to Tirana here —

Tirana, Albania - Travel Around The World | Top best places to visit in Tirana
Top best places to visit in Tirana, Albania
Tirana is the capital and largest city of Albania.
Tirana, the center of the political, economical, and cultural life, was dubbed the City of Kiosks” for the many small-scale shops and outdoor cafes always full of people.
The Skanderbeg Square is the central and the largest square of the city, named after Albanian hero whose statue stands in the middle.
The Square features great buildings, such as:
The National Historic Museum, the main museum in Tirana
The Opera and Ballet Theater, and the Et'hem Bey Mosque, one of the most impressive mosques in the country.
West of Skanderbeg Square is the brand new Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral, featuring rich interior iconography.
South of Skanderbeg Square extends panoramic boulevard with several government buildings and cultural institutions.
In the vicinity of the boulevard, on the recently opened pedestrian street, are located:
The National Theater, the main theater in Albania.
A 6-meter remnant from the Ottoman-era, the Tirana Castle Walls.
And an exhibition hall hosting Albanian and socialist art, the National Art Gallery.
Across the boulevard is the Rinia Park and the Taiwan Complex, popular spot among Albanian celebrities.
And going more to the south is the Lana River, the city’s main stream.
On the other side of the river along the boulevard are situated:
More municipal and national government buildings.
The Pyramid, originally a museum, today a derelict structure untouched for years.
A cold war installation, the Postbllok, a checkpoint featuring concrete pillars from prison camp and an original bunker.
The Former Residence of Enver Hoxha, the communist leader of Albania.
The Palace of Congresses, a venue where numerous festivals and events are held.
And the Mother Teresa Square.
The square is surrounded by:
the Archaeological Museum, the University of Tirana and the Academy of Arts.
Behind this square starts the Grand Park, a popular green area perfect to walk around and enjoy an artificial lake.
The Statue of Mother Albania stands not far away from the park, in the Martyrs' Cemetery. From there is a beautiful view of the city.
Go to the top floor of the Sky Tower for an even better view of the downtown of Tirana.

1 DAY IN TIRANA on foot (4K HD) | + Traditional Albanian Food | Ep 1 Albania 2018
Tirana itself might not seem to offer that many 'things to do', touristy sites, but perhaps that's the beauty of it - it's simple charm that offers the opportunity to align oneself with the local pace, taking in the culture and its people. And not forgetting its food!
By the end of our 5 days in Albania, this beautiful country and its people won our hearts. There are places where you wish to return after a visit. And then there are places where you absolutely will return to because it is just not enough - this is Albania.
❋ No chatter. No pretense. Just a leisure breeze through Tirana, Albania ❋

Beachin' and nightlife in Dhermi , Albania! | Travel Video Guide
Dhermi & Albanian rivera travel guide on my blog:
Get $25-$40 off your first Airbnb stay!:
---
Hello guys! I'm an American named Nwando. Welcome to my Dhërmi, Albania travel vlog / diary. I hope this Dhermi video vlog can help guide your travel!
I had a great time partying and performing in Dhërmi, Vlorë, Albania! I arrived in Dhërmi by bus from Saranda. This bus takes the SH8 highway route (it goes all the way to north Albania). The bus left at 11am in the morning and arrived in Dhermi at around 1pm. The main road that connects from SH8 to Dhermi is called Rruga Perivolo. Most hotels and airbnbs are along Rruga Perivolo, which starts at the top of the SH8 and ends at the beach. My airbnb was about a 10 minute walk to the bus stop located on the SH8 and Rruga Perivolo corner, and 10 minute walk to the beach.
Dhermi is a small beach town that is located south of Tirana and Vlorë (Vlora) by about 5 and 3 hours each, and north of Saranda. It is about 30-45 mins by bus from Himara (Himare). I have heard there is an hourly shuttle bus between Dhërmi and Himarë, but I did not use it. Some other nearby beaches and towns are Drymades, Palasë, Jal (Jala), Vuno, Gjipe, Llagora Pass and Porto Palermo. I would suggest to stay in Dhermi if you do not have a car. If you are staying at the Sea Turtle camping in Drymades, you can actually get off at the Dhermi stop as well and walk down Rruga Perivolo and veer right down the path instead of left which takes you to Dhermi's beach and strip.
I really wanted to visit nearby Jal and Gjipe, but I was not able to because I did not have a car. It is really difficult to visit nearby towns without a car unless you hitchhike, do a lot of long walking or are willing to pay for a taxi that will probably cost at least 20 euro to visit these neighbor towns only 10-15 minutes away by car! Sucks! I really really wanted to check out Folie Marine (or is it Folie Marina ??) because it seems like the best night club north of nightclubs in Sarande. I have seen so many beautiful pics from Prive Lounge as well on Instagram. But unfortunately, not having a car and being on a budget greatly held me back. While I was in Dhermi, I spent most of my time partying at Havana Beach Bar. It was the most busy bar. I also performed there so it has a very special place in my heart. You can see my show in my other Dhermi vlogs.
Last thing I want to say is that there is a 2nd Havana Beach Bar location in Palase, so it might seem like the club is not as busy and happening in my videos compared to other videos you have seen about Havana Beach Bar online, and that is because the videos you see online are from the location in Palase. I just wanted to clarify that. The Dhermi location is definitely more quiet and not as much as a big DJ party as the Palase location.
I can't wait to go back to Dhermi and visit all the nearby places I wanted to visit so much but was not able to. Të dua Dhermi!

Nightlife in Tirana, Albania
Subscribe to SHABL -
This is a video I made with my friend Alex right after arriving in Tirana on the bus from Saranda. It was a Saturday night so we decided to see what the nightlife in Tirana was all about and guess what? It was pretty sweet. The drinks were beyond reasonable, the people were beyond friendly, lots of people spoke English and I didn't once sense any aggression aka a good spot to enjoy yourself. We mainly hung out at Libraria, Murphy's Irish Pub and Mumja which was the cool club at the end.
You'll want to go to the Block or Bloku as they call it in Tirana.
