Mesa Historical Museum
The Mesa Historical Museum - The museum's buildings are in fact the museum's largest artifacts. The main museum building was built in 1914 for use as the Lehi School. Learn the history of Jones Town, Lehi, and Mesa. Just across the street from the Museum was old Fort Utah, built to protect the people from the Apache Indians in the 1870's and 80's. This Museum is a must visit.

Places to see in ( Mesa - USA )
Mesa is a city just east of Phoenix, in Arizona. Mesa Grande Cultural Park is home to a giant, centuries-old ceremonial mound, and artifacts of the ancient Hohokam people. The Arizona Museum of Natural History exhibits dinosaur skeletons and archaeological finds. The nearby i.d.e.a. Museum offers hands-on artistic and scientific exhibits for kids. Mesa Arts Center presents theater, musicals and contemporary art.
Mesa is the third-largest city in Arizona, after Phoenix and Tucson, and the 36th-largest city in the US. The city is home to 439,041 people as of 2010 according to the Census Bureau. Mesa is home to numerous higher education facilities including the Polytechnic campus of Arizona State University.
Mesa employs a grid system for street numbering that is different from that used in Phoenix and other portions of the metropolitan area. Center Street, running north to south, bisects Mesa into eastern and western halves and serves as the east and west numbering point of origin within Mesa. Streets west of Center St., such as W. University Drive or W. Main St. are considered to be in West Mesa, whereas streets east of Center St., such as E. University or E. Main St., are considered to be in East Mesa Country Club Drive, running north to south and bisecting Mesa into east and west sections, is located 0.5 miles (800 m) west of Center St, and serves as the jurisdictional boundary between Arizona's 5th and 6th congressional districts.
Mesa was founded in January 1878 by Mormon (Latter-day Saint or LDS) pioneers and its population is still roughly one-tenth Mormon. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints operates one of its oldest temples in Mesa (the Mesa Arizona Temple), and the city is a hub for Latter-day Saints residing in the Phoenix Metro area. Mesa is one of the United States' fastest-growing cities, and currently ranks as the 37th-largest. 2006 Census Bureau estimates put the city's population at 460,155. The city has a larger population than better-known United States cities such as Cleveland, Miami, Minneapolis, Saint Louis, or Saint Paul.

Places to see in ( Scottsdale - USA )
Places to see in ( Scottsdale - USA )
Scottsdale is a desert city in Arizona east of state capital Phoenix. It's known for its spa resorts and golf courses, including TPC Scottsdale. Farther north, trails wind through McDowell Sonoran Preserve, a desertscape of hills, rock formations and cacti. Nearby is Taliesin West, architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s former home and studio. Downtown's Old Town Scottsdale has 1920s buildings and 19th-century olive trees.
Scottsdale is home to many galleries, high quality resorts, and golf courses. It is also one of the wealthier parts of the Phoenix Metro Area. High end shopping destinations are one of the primary attractions of the city. For example, the Fashion Square Mall is near downtown Scottsdale and is one of the biggest malls in the United States. The extensive galleries to the west of the downtown also offer upscale shopping and strolling. The galleries in this area display works both from local artists and from around the world.
The Old Town section of Scottsdale is to the east of the gallery district. It showcases swanky upscale style as well as a caricature of the gruff American West. Well over half the shops are gift shops. However, it is fun enough for a browse in a Disneyland sort of way.
Both Old Town and Downtown Scottsdale possess an dazing array of bars, nightclubs, pool clubs and chic eateries. Nicknamed the Beverly Hills of the Desert, Scottsdale is second to none in terms of opportunity for high-end debauchery.
The valley of the sun has over 130 miles of canals. Most of them were built in the last 100 years to provide water for the irrigation of farm land. However, now that the valley is much less agrarian the canals are primarily used to carry away storm water. Some are also used to generate hydroelectric power.
These often overlooked gems are open to the public. One can take in the beautiful desert scenery and fresh air while strolling along them. They provide walkers, joggers, and bikers with a nice refuge from traffic. But don't try swimming in the canals, aside from being an obvious bad idea because the sides are so steep it is also illegal, along with motorized vehicles.

Arizona and New Mexico
Two bordering states in these United States. Both are in the heart of the American Southwest.
Both are about the same size...New Mexico is just slightly bigger. However, Arizona has more than three times as many people, and it’s growing at a higher rate. In fact, Arizona is one of the fastest growing states in the country, while New Mexico is definitely not.
A big reason why is Phoenix, which is the fifth biggest city in the country. Phoenix attracts all the concerts, all the professional sports teams, all the best comedians, and all the best indie films in theaters that people think they’re cool for seeing.
Arizona also has Tucson, which has a larger metropolitan population than New Mexico’s biggest city, Alburquerque. Still, it has an amazing balloon festival called the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Plus Albuquerque is a way cooler name for a city. I just love saying it.
Both states are known for their deserts, for both are two of the driest states in the country. However, both have these little areas that get higher rainfall due to having a higher elevation.
Due to these elevation differences, both do have some climate variation. I mean, Arizona has the high plateau in the northeast part of the state, the mountainous region that runs from the northwest to southeast, and the low ranges and desert valleys down in the southwestern part. Its biggest desert is the Sonoran. The Chihuahuan Desert is the big one in New Mexico, and it even creeps into Arizona. New Mexico also has the Rocky Mountains in the north, the Great Plains in the east, and basically high plateau throughout the rest of the state. Where the elevation is high, they also tend to get four seasons. Otherwise, folks have been moving to both states for decades due to their mild winters and generally beautiful weather. Or at least snowbirds just head down there for the winter.

Help place Sikhs on the US Olympic Shooting Team! Join the Sikh Shooting Team USA
Meet the Sikh Man Who Wants to Arm His Turbaned Brothers
Gursant Singh has been practicing with competitive shooting teams since the age of 11 from which he's gained not only valuable skills with firearms but life skills of teamwork and comradeship. Gursant Singh now wants to share with his Sikh brothers and sisters this team shooting experience which can be extremely satisfying especially for young boys and girls who want to develop confidence, discipline and concentration to help them through life. Winning awards and qualifying for a spot on the US Olympic rifle team will give a sense of accomplishment and excellence not only for individuals but for the entire Sikh community. Join the Sikh Shooting Team USA!
Sikh scores 1st in Masters Class at Metric Prone NRA Regional Match! Help place Sikhs on US Olympic Shooting Team!
The shooting sport is perfect for Sikhs as Guru Gobind Singh Ji told us to train with weapons of all kinds so we can protect not only our families but all those that cannot defend themselves. Guru Gobind Singh Ji- in the epic composition Zafarnama (composed in the Jungles of Maachiwara): I used weapons of all types Swords, Scimitars, daggers, weapons of all types, we worship these. Guru Gobind Singh Ji (direction given to the Khalsa): When all peaceful means have failed, it is lawful to pick up up the sword. Guru Gobind Singh Ji (in the Jungles of Maachiwara upon hearing that his two sons aged 7 and 9 years had been entombed alive upon their refusal to convert to Islam): I shall make the sparrow hunt the hawk and I shall make one man fight a legion, then only shall I be called guru. Guru Gobind Singh Ji: I salute the weapons of ALL Names ||. I salute the Arms of ALL Kinds ||.
Another goal of the Sikh Shooting Team USA is to qualify Sikhs for the US Olympic team. We invite all those interested in learning target shooting skills to join the team. Gursant Singh will be coaching team members using his many years of experience qualifying for US Olympic shooting team tryouts.
Mission of the Sikh Shooting Team USA: My idea is to start a Sikh shooting team and eventually travel with the team to Gurdwaras around the world to teach safety with firearms, marksmanship & self-defense to the Sangat. Air rifles are a good way to start learning riflery & marksmanship. Air rifles are legal everywhere and a temporary 10 meter air rifle range could be easily set-up in any parking lot. You can also visit my facebook page for more discussion at:
View videos from the Modesto rifle match I recently competed in can be viewed at these YouTube links. These videos will give you more understanding about the smallbore rifle shooting sport.

ATSU instills within students the compassion, experience and knowledge required to address the whole person and shape healthcare in communities where needs are greatest. Inspired to influence whole person healthcare, ATSU graduates contribute to the future of integrated care while also leading with a selfless passion in the communities they serve.
