[Wikipedia] Irish Multiplex Cinemas
Irish Multiplex Cinemas (or the IMC Cinema Group) is a cinema chain in Ireland. It operates cinemas throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland. It was part of the Ward Anderson company until 2013, when it was split between IMC and Omniplex Cinema Group.
The typical cinema owned by IMC has between five and ten screens. The company owns 17 Cinemas altogether, with 15 in the Republic of Ireland and 2 in Northern Ireland. The company's flagship is the Savoy Cinema in O'Connell Street, Dublin, which is the oldest operational cinema in Dublin, and the preferred cinema in Ireland for film premières. It also owned the Screen Cinema in D'Olier Street, which showed more alternative films but closed down in 2016.

IMC cinema 3
the second vid of the new cinema in the square taken on the 13th april 2012.
this one is just inside the entrance so as to get the lighting right. you can see the mezzine level at the back better now and below that is where you enter to the screens by going either left or right.
in the foreground is the concession stands where you can get your food above which is 6 large flat screens which play continuous movie trailers for comming attractions.
sorry about the sound as it got a bit scratchy thanks to my headphones and while my new cameraphone has HD it DOESNT have a pause button while videoing so i had to take footage of the floor for a bit to get back outside and show a brief bit of the surround with the cinema times in it.
its only open a few days but it seems to be doing storming business as this was hard to take without too many people getting in the way so hopefully thatll mean itll be about for a while yet.

IMC cinema 1
vid of the new cinema in the square taken on the 1st of april 2012.
its been a year or so since my last vid on the cinema in the square which was mainly just boarding , but now FINALLY it looks like its due to open shortly.
as you can see the shutters meant i couldnt show that much but i tried to zoom in from where i was to give at least some idea of what itll look like.
the new owners IMC have redone the whole interior apparently with new seating and 3D projectors and the like.
the cinema has been sorely missed as the only other in the southwest area was VUE out in liffey vally so with a bit of luck we should see the new competition bringing prices down.
no word on the UCI they intended to build on the woodies site and TBH with the state of the economy i dont see the market for two cinemas so close to each other so i looks like IMC have won out here.
