Heavy Snow Sweeps NE China Province
Heavy snow swept northeast China's Liaoning Province from early morning on Sunday, suspending expressways and disturbing traffic.
Snowstorm hit the cities of Dalian and Anshan, with snowfall in the 24 hours exceeding 10 millimeters. Other cities including Benxi, Liaoyang and Yingkou recorded snowfall of eight or nine millimeters.
Sanitation workers in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning Province, started clean-up operation at around 03:30 on Sunday.
Ten provincial expressways and seven inter-provincial expressways were closed due to heavy snow on Sunday. More than 200 inter-city buses were suspended in operation.
