Sri Mayapur Dham - The Place of Lord KRISHNA | ISKCON Temple | Part 1
Mayapur is located on the banks of the Ganges river, at the point of its confluence with the Jalangi, near Nabadwip, West Bengal, India, 130 km north of Kolkata (Calcutta). The headquarters of ISKCON is situated in Mayapur and it is considered a holy place by a number of other traditions within Hinduism but is of special significance to followers of Gaudiya Vaishnavism as the birthplace of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, regarded as a special incarnation of Krishna in the mood of Radha. It is visited by over a million pilgrims annually.
Sri Radha Govinda Temple , MG Road (Burrabazar) , Kolkata - worshipable deities of Srila Prabhupada
Srila Prabhupada used to visit this temple daily and pray to the Lordships. In one of his later conversations, Prabhupada identified Radha Govinda jiu as the inspiration of his devotional life. The mesmerizing deity of Sri Radha Govinda jiu with their slanting eyes continues to enchant one and all with their blissful darsana.

Ulto Ratha Yatra 2019 in India
Ratha Yatra or Rath Yatra (/ˈrɑːtɑː/-/ˈjɑːtrɑː/), also referred to as Rathayatra, Rathjatra or Chariot festival is any public procession in a chariot. The term particularly refers to the annual Rathayatra in Odisha and Jharkhand, particularly the Odia festival that involve a public procession with a chariot with deities Jagannath (Vishnu avatar), Balabhadra (his brother), Subhadra (his sister) and Sudarshana Chakra (his weapon) on a ratha, a wooden deula-shaped chariot. It attracts over a million Hindu pilgrims who join the procession each year.
Rathayatra processions have been historically common in Vishnu-related (Jagannath, Rama, Krishna) traditions in Hinduism across India, in Shiva-related traditions, saints and goddesses in Nepal, with Tirthankaras in Jainism, as well as tribal folk religions found in the eastern states of India. Notable ratha yatras in India include the Ratha yatra of Puri, the Dhamrai Ratha Yatra and the Ratha Yatra of Mahesh. Hindu communities outside India, such as in Singapore, celebrate Rathayatra such as those associated with Jagannath, Krishna, Shiva and Mariamman. According to Knut Jacobsen, a Rathayatra has religious origins and meaning, but the events have a major community heritage, social sharing and cultural significance to the organizers and participants.

Srila Prabhupada's birthplace darsana , in Kolkata - by 'The Gaudiya Treasures of Bengal'
Prabhupada birthplace - A visit to Sri A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada's birthplace in Tollygunge, Kolkata. Over here the 125 years old jackfruit tree under which Srila Prabhupada was born still survives. This place was then within the compounds of his maternal home.
Just opposite to his birthplace lies the ancient temple of Radha Madanamohana jiu. Prabhupada used to often visit this temple in his childhood days. We visited this temple and paid our obeisances to the enchanting deities.

My Trip to `ISKCON, Mayapur` - An Inspiration of a worldwide audience of Krishna devotees
Located in #Mayapur in West Bengal, India; the #ISKCON Temple is an important religious site for Hindus as well as for people who believe in other religions. One of the over 650 temples that the International Society for Krishna Consciousness has established all across the globe, the place is always buzzing with devotees who come here to pay their respects to Sri #Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON. The sprawling and lush green complex is enormous and spacious and has multiple places of worship in it. Larger than life idols of all prominent lords are installed in the temple, and these beautiful images especially catch the attention of the visitor.
The key areas in the temple complex include the main temple, an idol of the founder of ISKCON, Acharya Srila Prabhupada, the presiding deities Sri Sri Radha Madhava and an idol of Lord Nrisimhadeva that finds its way in the centre of the compound. The highlight of the temple, no doubt, is Srila Prabhupada's Pushpa Samadhi Mandir, or the shrine of Srila Prabhupada. This shrine is a grand and majestic marble dome that glistens beautifully when the soft rays of the Sun touch it at sunrise and sunset. Other than this, the temple is also famous for its Govinda Restaurant, a standard feature of all ISKCON temples, that serves delicious and freshly prepared pure vegetarian dishes. All in all, this is a must visit place for all people, whether worshipers of Lord Krishna or not, to discover the magical healing powers of the Divine.
The entire premise of the ISKCON Temple is a vast and spacious one and imbues a unique kind of peace and serenity in the visitor. Towards the left of the main temple is an idol of the founder of ISKCON, Acharya Srila Prabhupada in his Vyasana. On the right, on the main altar, are the presiding deities: Sri Sri Radha Madhava, surrounded by their eight principles 'gopi' friends: Sri Lalita, Sri Champakalata, Sri Chitra, Sri Tungavidya, Sri Vishaka, Sri Indulekha, Sri Rangadevi and Sri Sudevi, along with Gauranga Mahaprabhu and Giri-Govardhana. The small idols of the Gods in the altar are taken out in processions during Ratha-Yatras, Jhula-Yatras, or the boat festival. They also come out in a procession every Saturday evening during winters, after the Sandhya Aarti, on a chariot, from the beginning of the Kartika month up to Gaura-Purnima.
After the temple was attacked by dacoits in 1986, an idol of Lord Nrisimhadeva was installed in the centre of the premise. This rare form of the Lord -with bent knees and eyes red in anger, ready to spring out of the pillar to attack demons and protect his devotees- is known as 'Sthanu- Nrisimha'. ISKCON Temple of Mayapur is the only place where this form of the Lord is worshipped. The third altar in the compound is the Sri Sri Pancha-tattva temple. Larger than life deities of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu with His associates Sri Nityananda Prabhu, Sri Advaita Acharya, Sri Gadhadhara Pandita and Sri Srivasa Thakura can be seen here, and were installed in 2004.
An interesting area inside the temple is the Chaitanya Exhibition, where all of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's pastimes are artistically painted and depicted on the walls through the medium of bas-reliefs. A dramatic narration of the same in Bengali is played through an audio system in the background. The exhibition is open from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM and then from 04:00 PM to 06:00 PM.
ISKCON Temple Mayapur Aarti & Timings
