茨城県石岡市の旅。旅行者は「マック・ジェイ」店内で店主さんと楽しげに話しながら商品を眺めます。お土産に小物を購入し、お会計を済ませた時、旅行者の携帯電話が鳴ります。旅行者は店主さんと共に外へ出るとそこにはホームステイ先のホストマザーさんが車でお迎えに来てくれていました。店主さんにお別れを告げ、手を振って見送られた後、２人は丸三そば店にて会話を楽しみながらおそばを堪能します。その後、常陸國總社宮を訪ね、禰宜さんのご案内のもと拝殿に参拝し、境内を散策、例大祭の映像を見せてもらいます。常陸國總社宮を後にした２人は筑波山、恋瀬川、霞ヶ浦がよく見える高浜地区、愛郷橋周辺で景色を眺めた後、常陸風土記の丘へ向かいます。施設内各所を巡り、旅行者は興味津々な様子。２人は巨大な獅子頭の展望台から常陸風土記の丘の景色を眺めた後、２人はフルーツパークつくばねにてフルーツ狩りを体験します。取れ立てのフルーツを食べ、楽しい時を過ごします。最後に２人はフラワーパークを訪れ、園内を散策します。きれいに咲いたダリアの花が咲く景色を楽しみ、空がオレンジがかって来た頃、２人は展望塔を昇り、石岡市の景色を眺めながら、その日の旅を締めくくります。

Ibaraki Prefectural Flower Park
The park is about 30ha in area -a vast paradise of flowers and greenery. Some 30,000 roses of 500 varieties from around the world are planted in the park, with a dabbling of some 3,500 peonies mixed in for color. Another 3,000 tropical flowering plants are cultivated in the Grand Greenhouse.

Hitachi Kamine Park
Hitachi city is a small town located in north-eastern side of Japan, Ibaraki Prefecture and it is about 150 km far from Tokyo. In 1910, the first Hitachi factory was installed and started production in this city and later the company name and city name became Hitachi. All of the machineries were used in Japan was imported from foreign countries before the Hitachi Era. One Mr.Namihei Odaira, an young electrical engineer tried to change the situation of local manufacturing and later he became successful to produce an electric induction motor of capacity 5 HP (4KW) for use in Copper Mining industries and it was the first product of Hitachi factory. Later this development became, boost to the Japanese local manufacturing industry and now Hitachi, is one of the world leading brands in Power, Transportation, Railway, Digital media & Consumer products etc. Most of these brands production facilities are located in this city.
I am working in this city and this post is to introduce some of the major tourist spot of Hitachi city. When I decided to do the same, the Kamine Park was the first name came into my mind and I tried to capture the place sincerely. There are 1000 of Sakura trees (cherry blossom) in this park and during the cherry blossom season the whole trees will bloom and the entire park will appear in light pink color.

1. Kubah Pemecah Laut Utara Pelabuhan Wakkanai (Kubah Pemecah Laut Utara Pelabuhan Wakkanai) [Hokkaido]
Dibangun pada 1936, kubah pemecah gelombang yang tampak seperti galeri-gereja ini digunakan sebagai stasiun transit ke rute laut Sakhalin lama dan melindungi kereta dari angin kencang dan ombak.
Meskipun hanya digunakan sebagai stasiun selama sembilan tahun, kubah adalah simbol rute Sakhalin lama dan masih melindungi kota Wakkanai.
Lengkungan ini memiliki panjang 427m, tinggi 13,6m, dan didukung oleh 70 pilar gaya Romawi.

2. Gua Ryusendo (Ilongate) [Iwate]
Gua Ryusendo adalah satu dari tiga gua kapur besar Jepang di prefektur Iwate.

Ayumi An is a Sukiya style building with a tea room and a sitting room. Guests can enjoy matcha (powdered green tea) served by volunteer staff. Minka En was built during the Edo period and dismantled and transferred from another site.

【History museum】
The building of the History museum is inspired by a three-story castle. It is the symbol of Ayumizaki Park. There are artifacts and panels that tell the history of the city.

【Hobikisen for tourists】
Hobikisens dominated fishery practices as the main fishing method in Kasumigaura. Hobikisens currently operate as tourist attractions. The dignified figure of sailing ships with large white sails is a seasonal event unique to Kasumigaura.
【Fujimitsuka Tomb Mound Park】
This is a circular-shaped ancient tomb with a rectangular frontage presumably constructed in the early 6th century. Mt.Fuji is visible from the top of the tomb on a clear sunny day.

The main hall and the mountain gate are Kasumigaura designated cultural properties. There are many stone Buddha in the precincts called Five Hundred Han Dynasties.

かすみがうら市を訪れた二人。
大きく広がる霞ヶ浦や一面に広がる蓮根畑を眺めながらのサイクリング。訪れたレストランでは、レンコン豚のしゃぶしゃぶなどの絶品料理を楽しみます。初めて見る帆引き船。大きな白い帆を広げて進む勇壮な姿は、霞ヶ浦ならではの風物詩。興奮気味にカメラのシャッターを切ります。お寺の山門をくぐると、境内にはたくさんのユニークでかわいらしい石像がお出迎え。山のふもとでは柿狩りを体験。取れ立てを食し頬を緩ませます。三ツ石森林公園からは雲海につつまれた幻想的な景色が広がります。自転車を走らせながら、これまでの楽しかった出来事を振り返ります。

2011年4月中旬の茨城県龍ケ崎市根町にある寺院、般若院さんの境内裏手にある枝垂れ桜です。2011年4月中旬の訪問で少し遅かったのか葉が見えていました。2011年4月は市中の桜は少々遅咲きでしたが、般若院さんの桜は早咲きです。
