Kashima-jingu Shrine[ZEKKEI IBARAKI]
Kashima-jingu Shrine is a historic shrine that is believed to have been established in 660BC (the first year of Emperor Jimmu) and dedicated to Takemikazuchi-no-Okami, one of the deities of martial arts who founded the country of Japan.
The current Shaden (main building) of the shrine was donated by the second shogun of the Tokugawa Clan, Hidetada, the Okunomiya (rear shrine) by Tokugawa Ieyasu, and the Romon (gate) by Tokugawa Yorifusa, the first head of the Mito Domain. They have all been designated as important cultural properties.
If you proceed along Okusando (the approach to Okunomiya) to see Okunomiya (rear shrine), you will be able to see Shikaen (deer garden), Kaname Ishi (keystone), and Mitarai Ike (purification pond).

[Original Video] Drone view in the wooden tunnel of a shrine! Sakatsura Isozaki Shrine in Ibaraki is famous for winning lottery. More than 6 billion yen was won because of it. It has a prayer's path covered by 300 years old trees just like a wooden tunnel, which is becoming popular as a secret power spot.
At the first day of Reiwa, I went to the shrine to get my luck. This movie includes the 3 steps of lottery winning pray, use drone to fly through the wooden tunnel, fly above the shrine to see how it is beautifully surrounded by forest and sea. Let's see a Japanese shrine with unique new angle! Full English subtitles included.

Tochigi & Ibaraki - Japan Travel HIghlights
This golden week I had the pleasure of going on a 2 day trip to 2 little visited prefectures, Tochigi and Ibaraki!
We based this trip around the goal of going paragliding near Utsunomiya.
Late April is also a great time to go to both Hitachi Seaside Park to catch baby blue eyes in bloom, as well the seasonal pottery market in Mashiko city.
For those of you living in Japan, what did you get up to this Golden Week?
(for those of you overseas, it's kind of like spring break, with a few national holidays all lined up!)
Let me know if you enjoyed this style of video as well!

JR Mito Station (JR 水戸駅), Train Stations of Japan, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan
JR Mito Station (JR 水戸駅) is located in Mito city in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. JR Mito station is the largest train station servicing Mito city and other connecting cities in the Ibaraki prefecture.
Although there is no Bullet Train (Shinkansen) service to Mito city, there are two Limited Express trains called Super Hitachi and Fresh Hitachi run from Ueno station in Tokyo, that take people to Mito Station. I have ridden these trains and they are pretty fun.
Hope you enjoy this video!!!
Ibaraki Oaraiisosaki Shrine - 大洗磯前神社 - 4K Ultra HD
Ibaraki Oaraiisosaki Shrine - 大洗磯前神社 - 4K Ultra HD : Erected in 856, the Oaraiisosaki Shrine, also known as Orai Isosaki-Jinja, houses a deity of medicine who’s known for granting happiness and matchmaking couples. Destroyed during a war lasting from 1558 to 1570, the shrine was then rebuilt in 1690. The project was overseen by the legendary samurai Tokugawa Mitsukuni, who also become very popular on Japanese TV, being featured on the TV drama Mito Komon from 1969 to 2011, with no less than 1227 episodes!
What makes this shrine special, besides its benefactor Tokugawa Mitsukuni, is its three torii gates. The first one is located on a rock formation in the sea known as the Kamiiso-no-torii, the second is a gigantic, 15.60m high and 22.42m wide, metallic one, know as the Ichi-no-torii located at the foot of the shrine’s hill. Finally the Ni-no-torii is located on top of the aforementioned hill and in front ot the shrine.
Often ignored by both Japanese and foreign tourists, Oaraiisosaki Shrine is one of those little wonders that are highly recommended to visit if you have the chance to travel around Ibaraki.

【Japan Heritage】 Kodokan [4K]Mito City|VISIT IBARAKI, JAPAN -OTHER SIGHTS-
【Filmed Date: 2015.5.27】
The Kodokan is one of Japan’s national historical sites and important cultural properties, located in Mito city. It was the largest school of feudal domain in Japan, established by the ninth feudal lord of the Mito Clan, Nariaki Tokugawa, in 1842.
The last Shogun, Yoshinobu Tokugawa, studied at this school in his early childhood, and spent his life while he was confined after the restoration of imperial rule.
In this filming, we were able to film things we can’t normally see such as the real bird’s eye view drawing, the inside of Confucian temple, and the Kodokan-ki monument in the eight trigrams hall.
