This Holiday Inn at Birmingham airport was once the headquarters for the Royal Navy Airforce back in 1932, so that aviation theme is really well engrained in this hotel. Perfect when the next thing you're doing is flying off on your holiday!
Like any Holiday Inn, this hotel has all the basics you'd expect from a mid priced brand, and it's suitable for anyone and everyone. But what sets this particular Holiday Inn apart is its impressive facilities.
Starting with the gym, and although it's only a fairly modest size, there's plenty of equipment here to keep most fitness fanatics happy!
But what's really quite impressive is what's in there. The pool is huge and something you don't often find at a Holiday Inn, let alone one that's at the airport. It's such good value, there's even a jacuzzi, and a steam room!
When it comes to dinner time, the restaurant offers up a wide variety of cuisine. Focusing mainly on international dishes but also offering great meal deals on the 2 course buffet. 'Thankyou, Thanks..'
So the bar is like the central hub of the hotel, it's really informal here so if you fancy some relaxed dining, then there's a great menu with lots on offer all throughout the day.
And obviously you can also find all your soft and alcoholic drinks, and some good coffee too.
Lastly and perhaps most importantly, the bedrooms. Now they're perfectly spacious and comfortable, and this is one of the only Holiday Inns to offer seamless WIFI throughout, seamless meaning it's really fast, therefore really good no matter where abouts you are in the hotel.
But don't forget to leave time for breakfast, whether you're enjoying a truly indulgent one right here in your bedroom, or heading down the restaurant. You'll be hugely satisfied with what's on offer. There's an English buffet selection, cold Continental options, and all the cereals you could ask for.
As far as getting to the airport is concerned, there's a transfer bus that will take you to the airport in just 10 minuets.
