Klokkenwerpen Mechelen 8 september 2013
Naar jarenlange traditie vindt op de tweede zondag van september het klokkenwerpen plaats in mechelen. De Grote markt zal ook dit jaar op zondag 14 september tal van grabbelaars lokken die maar al te graag een van de twintig te winnen bronzen klokjes naar huis willen nemen.
Niet alleen bezit Mechelen de oudste beiaard van het land, ook het klokkenwerpen maakt deel uit van een jarenlange traditie. In 1946 werd dit evenement in het leven geroepen door de stad naar aanleiding van de plaatsing van het beiaardklavier op Sint-Rombouts.

Bloso en de stad Mechelen organiseren, in samenwerking met de Mechelse sportclubs, de eerste editie van Sportmarkt Mechelen. Meer dan 30 verschillende sporten zullen op 4 verschillende pleinen gratis uitgeprobeerd kunnen worden.
