The 2019 Ikaria Surf & Acroyoga camp will go down in history considering everything we did in 6 days! Surfing, yoga, dancing, falling, partying, laughing, healing and loving! Surfing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu met on the beach of Mesakti in the summer of 2014, giving birth to the idea of a bjj and surf camp!
We have created weekly programs adapted for every level to combine both sports, but ultimately just to have fun-something only the island of Ikaria can offer.

IKARIA GREECE - WEEK 2
This week we rented out an extra car for my family and decided to go on a road trip across Ikaria. We also had time to met up with a bunch of family for dinner.

CALISTHENICS & SURF CAMP VIDEO-IKARIA SURF SCHOOL
The idea to create a themed camp began in Ikaria Surf School by combining different sports in order to promote an alternative and healthy holiday lifestyle - as well as proving that there are no limits within sports. In order to combine different sports, there needs to be a similarity in the philosophy and way of exercising besides the common priority of just having fun!
It started like this in the summer of 2015 when Aggelos Andriotis, a true ambassador of calisthenics exercise, managed to impress us with his isometric exercise moves on the beach and we in turn managed to hook him on surfing. Together, we decided to create the 1st Calisthenics & Surf camp. We could talk for hours about the combination of these 2 sports, but you need only look at the benefits of each in areas such as kinesthesia, proprioception, muscle strengthening and balance. We hope to see you all on the beach of Mesakti to get to know one another and exercise, whilst also getting the chance to tour the beautiful island of Ikaria.
